Landscape Photography in France - Aiguille de la Vanoise, French Alps
Aiguille de la Vanoise is located in Parc national de la Vanoise and is a very fascinating mountain in France. For landscape photography is makes for a beautiful focal point and subject. There's a bit of a strenous hike up there, but it's well worth it, even on moody days.
I realise that Aiguille also means Peak of a mountain, so I should probably have called it Peak of Vanoise.

Chalet Snowbel
Chalet Snowbel probably has the best location in Meribel of any individual chalet. It is two doors down from La Refuge restaurant, right in the centre of town. It is less than a minute to walk to the escalator that takes you onto the ski slope by the Tourist Office. From here, it is a very short ski to La Chaudanne, the main lift area of Meribel, with access to all three valleys.
In the evenings, entertainment is virtually on your doorstep, with all of Meribel’s shops, restaurants and bars within a short stroll. Chalet Snowbel was built in 2005. It has three bedrooms, all twins or doubles, with one of the rooms also having space for extra beds, for use as a family room. The chalet has two balconies and a large terrace where you can watch the sun disappear behind the mountains as you enjoy your après-ski drinks.
