This year, September 30th is the traditional Chinese festival --
the Mid-Autumn Festival.
On this day, the Chinese people like to have a family reunion,
eating moon cake, feeling the fun of being together.
But in today's mainland China, many families can't be reunited
under the authorities' persecution and suppression.
On the occasion of the Mid-Autumn Festival, they have to bear
the suffering and pain which they should not bear.
Please take a look our report.
This Mid-Autumn Festival happened to be a weekend, and
then immediately the National Day Holidays.
The businesses in Mainland China competed with auctions
attracting customers; it was a festive atmosphere everywhere.
But behind the prosperous view, countless families can't
enjoy the fun of family reunion, only the suffering.
Liao Cheng, human rights activists in Heilongjiang Province
committed a crime for his free speech.
As a long-term petitioner and defender, he is speaking out for
a fair hearing for Falun Gong in a foreign media's interview.
In May of this year, Liao Cheng was sentenced to labor camp
for eighteen months by the Chinese Communist Party (CCP).
To NTDTV, Liao Cheng's wife, Miss Yu said she missed Liao
Cheng very much, now she felt that she was counting the days.
Miss Yu said No lawyer can dare to take the case, we looked
for a few lawyers, and can they take litigation with the CCP?
It is what it is! I wish he comes back as soon as possible.
In Beijing, before the Mid-Autumn Festival, large scale arrests
took place amongst petitioners coming from all over the country.
The police and people preventing the petitioners stopped them
eating anything and made them suffer pain.
Coming from Shanghai, Petitioner Fei Aizhong: It's said that
now there is harmony in society, but we have no place to live,
roaming the streets. Petitioners are also arrested everywhere.
We have no way, really no way!
Minghui website reported that recently large numbers of
Falun Gong practitioners had been abducted or put through illegal trials by the Chinese Communist Party (CCP).
In Renshou County, Sichuan province, more than 40 Falun
Gong practitioners were kidnapped and disappeared.
In Qingyuan County, Liaoning province nearly 20 Falun Gong
practitioners have been kidnapped by the police.
Falun Gong practitioner Ms. Li was forced displacement
more than 10 years because of the persecution, at last she managed to abroad.
Falun Gong practitioner Ms. Li: For the last ten years,
I have not spent either the Mid-Autumn Festival or
the Spring Festival together with the family and
I was left wandering about outside.
I rented an apartment, but it's dangerous to take a call from
my family, because the phone was monitored.
Ms. Li said that police regularly harassed her family
and her neighbors.
Once she went to visit her brother but did not realize
the police installed a monitor in her brother's apartment.
She was kidnapped. Ms. Li fled abroad and fearing police
harassment to her family, she can't contact them.
Jin Zhaoyu and Jin Zhaohuan are sisters who now live in
Finland. They have had no messages about their mother Chen Zhenping for three years.
Chen Zhenping originally had a fatal illness, but miraculously
recovered after practicing Falun Gong for a few months.
But just telling the truth of persecution of Falun Gong to the
people, Chen was persecuted long-term by the authorities.
Before the 2008 Beijing Olympics, she was again sentenced
to eight years and lost any messages since November 2009.
Jin Zhaoyu: Because the CCP persecuted Falun Gong
practitioners, including our mother Chen Zhenping for so many years,
the simple desire to be reunited with my family at
the Mid-Autumn Festival is still not satisfied.
My mother is still detained in the Women's Prison
in Xinxiang City, Henan Province.
To rescue their mother, the two sisters initiated activity of
mailing postcards, getting many people's support.
The two sisters hope that their mother would regain
freedom through the efforts of the people.
