The Syötteen Kierros Trail is a great way to familiarize yourself on mountain biking in Syöte. The trail offers a nice variety of relaxed rolling on easy to moderate trail sections, as well as challenges from duckboards to short but steep ascents. Have a break on a lean-to-shelter at Kellarilampi pond or Annintupa day trip hut. Syöte Nature Centre is the best place for planning and starting your trip. Contrasts are a key factor in the allure of Lapland, where 24-hour sunlight in the summer replaces the dark blue winter days.
The Finnish people’s DNA is the most diverse in all of Europe. Extremes are literally in our blood.
In honour of Finland’s centenary celebration, we’ll extract Finnish people’s DNA from the extreme points of the country. The cello metal band Apocalyptica will then turn the genetic data into an original piece of music.
The Symphony of Extremes premieres in late 2017.
