Located in the northeast of Fujian Province and on the northwest shore of the Taiwan Strait, Xiapu is a coastal county which has the largest waters, the longest the most islands, and reefs and the widest shallow sea and intertidal zones in Fujian Province. The meandering golden coastline has gone through the baptism of winds and waves for thousands of years. Time brings great changes to Xiapu and shapes a dreamy picture scroll of intertidal zone views. Xiapu County boasts mountain and sea resources: the Yangjia Stream extends 58 kilometers in Xiapu. It has been known as a coastal county of happiness and peace and is a national scenic area and a national water conservancy scenic area. The meandering clear stream runs through a valley flanked by lush mountains with singing birds and fragnant flowers.
