BrisVegas to the Rock via the Simpson - 3,000km in 3 minutes
Travel from Brisbane (BrisVegas) to Uluru (Ayers Rock) - a road trip of around 3,000km travelling almost due west. The road starts as a highway deteriorating to a sandy track in the Simpson Desert and becoming a fast bitumen road as we get closer to the rock.
If this is too fast have a look at
Air Tour of Australia's Wet Centre
Record of a three day flight over Lake Eyre, the Sompson Desert and wet areas from the flooding of the Diamantina River and Cooper Creek in Australia's arid centre.
Ep. 14 Troopy in the Australian Desert - Everywhere Together
We continue our journey to inlands, the great outback of Australia. Stopping at Charters Towers, previously known as The World, and follow the Australian Dinosaur Trail through Hughenden, Richmond and Winton to the most remote national park of Queensland: Diamantina National Park. Lots of offroad tracks and bird watching there, and of course, some unwon battles with the flies.

Kimberley by Horse
Horseback trail ride near by the Cockburn Ranges in The Kimberley, Western Australia, made possible by Alida and Roderick Woodland, Digger's Rest Station.
Stunning scenic, relaxed atmosphere, pleasant hosts and guests - I will never forget the impressions of this adventure in the outback. Seemd like the middle of nowhere, but turned out to be a wonderful place to forget all the worries and trouble.
Alida and Roderick Woodland, the owners of the Digger's Rest Station and the organisers of the trail rides did as well-trained team everything possible to arrange my stay as comfortable as possible, at the station and at the camp. They, their staff and the other guests create such a good mood, you will easily ignore the sore bum you might experience after several days of riding.
Western Australia revealed as an amazing place with unique landscape, fauna, flora and kind people. I will miss this, and I will miss my well-behaved stock horse Cody who had to lug me around all along.
Special thanks to:
Riverside Ranch, Dorleen and Evelin Dudek (riding lessons)
Digger's Rest Station, Alida and Roderick Woodland (horses, supply, property)
Monika, David, Emma, Darren, Eddi, Monin (support, advice, good mood) - my apologies, if I wrote your names wrong!
