Cape Hillsbrough and Bouldercombe | Best Campsites in Queensland
Last time we were in Rockhampton, we stayed in Bouldercombe. We loved it that much that we just had to go back and show you guys probably the best free campsite in Queensland. Blog post here:
But before that though, we decided to stop in Cape Hillsbrough and stay in a national park campsite here you camped right next to the beach for just $6 dollars each! Definitely worth a stop to the on your way down the Queensland coast.

Cobb and Co Nine Mile Campground, Tandur Qld
188. We came across this place on a day trip north of the Sunshine Coast and had to do a video. It looks like a really awesome place to stay, especially if you have children travelling with you.
There are no powered sites however there are good amenities, water, bins, BBQ's and fire pits.
The camping areas are huge, you will certainly find space for a rig of any size.
The childrens play areas are certainly unique. Jumping pillows are replaced by boats to play on, Flying foxes, great bike tracks with jumps and lots more. There are animals, horse and cart rides and a train ride available.
It is pet friendly.
We had Telstra coverage.
Cost to stay is $15 per adult and $10 per child.
We didn't stay but video was taken on 23rd June 2018

Walkers Rocks Campground, SA
Beautiful beach front campground on the Eyre Peninsula, only 11km north of Elliston. $10/vehicle. Bins, toilet, and cold shower provided.
A sheltered section of coastline that's perfect for swimming (even for little ones) and quiet beaches to walk in both directions.
For self-sufficient campers, there is plenty of room other than the few spots near the amenities - head left before main area for a heap more space. Track is a little rocky so best to get out of the car and explore first.
Keep your campsite clean and keep food protected to avoid any trouble from mice.

Mike and Helen go to a super free camp spot, on the Bruce Highway, just west of Gladstone in Queensland, Australia.
125. Gregory River Free Camp, Queensland
The Gregory River provides one of Australia's best Free camping places in Australia. An amazing location situated right on a slow flowing river where you can enjoy the features of remote camping in beautiful natural surrounds.
The town of Gregory is walking distance and provides Water, Toilets, Showers and a Dump point. There is also a small general store and local Pub with fuel.
Located on the road out from Burke and Wills Roadhouse to Lawn Hill National Park and Adels Grove in North Queensland, it is also close to Burketown and Normanton.
Take a small boogie board or blow up tube and drift down the river for some fantastic fun.
There is also a campground above the River if you would prefer to stay there or it is full by the river.
The camping area is pet friendly.
There is no phone coverage or internet at all in this area.
It is Free to stay here.
Watch the video for all the details about this fantastic location.
Our stay was 27-29th July 2017

Canna - Western Australia
Canna is a tiny little place in the mid-west that many people have never heard of.
It is popular with caravanners and motorhomers because it is three campsites in one. The main camp (a small fee applies here) has showers, toilets, BBQ, bins and water and the other two sites (Old Camp and Canna Dam) are free but have no facilities.
