Mariala National Park - A Silent Drought, Bones of Despair, Spines of Hope in Outback Queensland
Mariala National Park located in outback Queensland, West of Charleville, is a remote park protecting Mulga lands.
I explore the No. 3 Bore camping area, and the Rockholes camping area. Remnants from its early pastoral years scatter the park.

5 things to do in Winton, Outback Queensland
The dinosaur capital of Australia, Winton is full of history, quirk and character and is a must-do visit on your Outback Queensland adventure.
As the home of Banjo Patterson's Waltzing Matilda, you can visit the very billabong that inspired the poet’s work, grab a coldie at the iconic North Gregory Hotel, or follow in the footsteps of the dinosaurs at the Australian Age of Dinosaurs.
Hot tip: If you visit Winton in June or July, the town comes alive for Vision Splendid Outback Film Festival, where you can catch a film under the stars in Winton’s open-air Royal Theatre.
Experience the wonder this Outback Queensland town has to offer:

Queensland Drives: Capricorn Highway
A road trip is the ultimate way to get around Queensland and the Capricorn Highway offers a great driving holiday!
The Capricorn Highway heads west from Rockhampton through Emerald – the gateway to the gem fields and on to Longreach.
Also a must see on this drive is Emerald’s big thing - the giant easel of Van Gogh’s Sunflowers painting.

Astronomy by Day: Outback Stargazing
There is no better place to witness the glory of the night sky than in the Queenlsand Outback. Get even closer to the final frontier at the Charleville Cosmos Centre where you can get a glimpse of the surface of the Sun or even hold a meteorite that is visiting from the far reaches of the galaxy.

Feel the Country
Russell's connection to the Southern Queensland Country is unbreakable. He has spent a lifetime camping under the stars and letting the spirit of the environment mold his soul.
Like most Australians, Russell is a big sky person and is one of few Australian's that can live off the land (alone) and is an expert on Bush Tucker and able to survive from picking wild fruit from the bush (a dangerous thing if you don't know what you're doing).

Richmond, Outback Queensland
Richmond, located halfway between Townsville and Mount Isa is a small town boasting bougainvillea-lined streets, parks, gardens and an impressive array of watersports. If the new age doesn't interest you, then step back in time and pay a visit to the Kronosauraus Korner; the only museum in Australian dedicated to displaying marine reptiles as well as a very special dinosaur.

Sydney Central Station - 110th Anniversary - Modern Generation
On Thursday 4th August 2016, Sydney Central Station turned 110 years old. This is a Station that has come a long way from 1906, when it first opened, to 2016, where we are now. Since the 1990’s, and into the 21st Century, Central Station has seen a number of changes. The Station has become the largest Railway Station in Australia, with 25 Platforms.
The Station over it’s journey has hosted some wonderful events. From the 150th Anniversary of the NSW Railways in 2005, to the Station’s 100th Anniversary in 2006, and the now annual Sydney Great Train Weekend and Rail Safety Week.
In this video, we will see photo’s and footage of the Station and Trains in the modern generation. Throughout the video, you will see pieces of writing, which is explaining the history of Central Station. There are a number of trains that come to and from Central Station, which include the Sydney Trains and the NSW TrainLink Suburban and Intercity Services, Heritage Trains, both Steam and Diesel, and on the occasion, Freight Locomotives, mainly for Trackwork.
I think we should all appreciate what a great Station Central is, and how far it’s come since it first opened in 1906.
ENJOY!
