Rome, the Eternal City. After several trips to Italy, we finally managed to visit our biggest oversight: the capital! From wandering through Roman ruins to devouring pizza, and climbing up lookout points to feasting on gelato, in this travel guide, we’re going to share with you 20 things to do in Rome, Italy:
We reached Roscioli which was the best pizza in Rome. Pizzas are served by the weight and we sampled 7 different pizza slices.
We stopped at Largo di Torre Argentina an archaeological site home to four different temples containing parts of the portico of Pompey.
It was a short walk to the Pantheon, a former Roman temple turned church, which dates back to the year 125 AD. The Pantheon boasted the world’s largest cupola up until the 15th century, and it is still the largest unreinforced concrete dome in existence to this day making it one of the greatest architectural achievements by the ancient Romans.
If you want to find the best gelato, look for colours that are muted with small batches.
One of the many things to do in Rome, was to visit the Trevi Fountain. This is the largest Baroque fountain in the city.
Rome’s most famed attraction is the Colosseum and its surrounding ruins. We started our visit on Palatine Hill, the most central of Rome's seven hills. What visitors see today are the ruins of the Palace of Domitian, a 1st-century complex, which served as the main imperial palace for 300 years. We continued to the Roman Forum. This square was the centre of ancient Roman life, with government buildings, temples, and markets. We reached the Colosseum, which was the largest amphitheatre ever built and could hold an estimated 50,000 and 80,000 spectators.
Walking through the Vatican Museum was more overwhelming than enjoyable. We visited Vatican City to climb St. Peter’s Basilica for views of Rome.
Castel Sant’Angelo was commissioned by the Roman Emperor Hadrian as a mausoleum for himself and his family.
Villa Borghese is the 3rd largest public park in Rome with gardens, villas, and ponds with views of the city overlooking Piazza del PO-polo, the people’s square.

Top 7 places near Duomo - Milano (2019)
Buongiorno a tutti! Oggi un video un po' diverso dal solito. Ho realizzato questo video come progetto di studi con le mie colleghe Ilaria ed Izaura (qui sotto vi lascio i loro social e riferimenti), la scelta è stata di presentare in meno di un minuto e mezzo 7 posti nelle vicinanze del Duomo di Milano che riteniamo punti di interesse a livello culturale o architettonico. Nel video vedete quindi rappresentati dopo un bel giro di Piazza del Duomo:
1) 00:13 Galleria Vittorio Emanuele: galleria commerciale di Milano che collega piazza Duomo a piazza della Scala. Famosa per la presenza di eleganti negozi e locali, e costruita in stile neorinascimentale, è tra i più celebri esempi di architettura del ferro europea e rappresenta l'archetipo della galleria commerciale dell'Ottocento. Chiamata semplicemente la Galleria dai milanesi, viene spesso considerata come uno dei primi esempi di centro commerciale al mondo.

4) 00:47 Museo del Novecento: esposizione permanente di opere d'arte del XX secolo ospitata all'interno del Palazzo dell'Arengario. Il museo ha assorbito le collezioni del precedente Civico Museo d'Arte Contemporanea (CIMAC) il quale era collocato presso il secondo piano di Palazzo Reale e che venne chiuso nel 1998.

5) 00:50 Starbucks Reserve Roastery Milano: so che qualcuno storcerà il naso a questo punto, ma questa sede di Starbucks diversa dai soliti punti vendita è stata integrata armonicamente all'interno del palazzo delle Poste. Si può assistere alla tostatura e chiedere info ai disponibili dipendenti riguardo al trattamento del caffè. Appena si entra, oltre all'affascinante design dei pavimenti antichi e dell'integrazione con elementi ramati e bronzati, si viene invasi da un profumo di caffè inebriante (e detto da una che non beve nemmeno il caffè vi garantisco che è un'esperienza particolare).

6) 1:07 Piazza Liberty - Apple Store: Anche qui molti storceranno il naso, abbiamo deciso di inserire questo punto non per il negozio di apple sin sé ma per come è stata realizzata questa piazza dove riposarsi e distaccarsi un po’ dal caos di piazza Duomo. Il rumore dell’acqua che scorre qualche alberello rendono ci concedono un’esperienza di relax.

7) 1:13 Terrazza Aperol: come brave milanesi potevamo non inserire un aperitivo con vista Duomo? No! Ed infatti eccoci qui alla Terrazza Aperol a festeggiare questo inizio primavera (a livello di temperature) e goderci la vista sulla magnifica architettura di Milano.

Come join us for the best pizza in Rome, Italy as we head over to Antico Forno Roscioli pizzeria & bakery to try numerous different slices ranging from traditional ingredients to contemporary twists. Overall, we had many different slices but here is a list of them all:

Best Pizza in Rome, Italy Travel Food Video Transcript:
Well guys this is an exciting day because today's video is all about pizza. We've been in Rome for a few days now and we have saved the best for last. We're going to be eat at place called Antico Forno Roscioli (Marco Roscioli Il Forno).
This is a bakery and pizzeria that has been around forever. Yeah. It is a bit of an institution here. Early 19th century. It is like 11 in the morning so a bit early for lunch but I'm hoping they already have a few pizzas ready. Exactly. We're going to go in and eat pizza.
We are starting with our first batch of pizza and they had three different kinds ready. So we have mozzarella. Rossa which just means red. And pizza bianca. Which is just plain. This is all about the bread and the texture of the bread.
Oh my gosh it all looks so good. And apparently we have more pizza coming out of the oven in 3 minutes.
I love it. It is just a little bit of tomato sauce and then you have the pieces of mozzarella. A little bit of olive oil drizzled on top.
This is amazing. It is not just a pizzeria. It is a bakery.
Pumpy is going to be trying pumpkin pizza so let's try that.
Were you just given a complimentary pizza. Yes, probably because we're buying so much pizza. Oh my gosh. This is pizza bianca with mortadella.
Lots of pumpkin? Look at that. Smothered in pumpkin. Is it kind of a sweet pizza or? Oh yeah. It is really juicy too.
The last two ones to try. Mine is black cabbage. Yes. It has going to have a smoky flavor. That is what the guy told us. You can tell it is really crispy. And a little bitter he said.
And Dad you're having what? Broccoli and pork sausage. Cheers. Let's do a pizza cheers.
Alright we've had our pizza. We are stuffed beyond belief. We actually had the master plan of going to get gelato right after. We're like no. We've got to delay that.
And that fed a whole family - the 4 of us. It only came to 31 Euros. I thought that was fantastic value. It was less than 8 Euros per person. And we pigged out. There is no other way to put it.
We're going to be going to a famous gelato spot next. And now gelato. We are at Giolitti. Sam's parents have already gone inside so we're going to follow suit and see what flavors are available. The boys and their ice creams.

We feel like we know this city well, so in this Lisbon travel guide we’re going to show you around what we think are some of the best attractions. We only had 3 days in the city this time around, so this Lisbon itinerary will be perfect for any of you visiting on a long weekend escape.
We kicked off our first morning with a ride on Lisbon’s most iconic tram line:#28 bound for panoramic vistas and a hilltop castle. After postcard perfect views looking down over Alfama we went towards the castle, with a little detour offering a bit of street art.
St George Castle is a Moorish castle that looks down over the historic centre and the Tagus River. It’s one of the main tourist landmarks in the city and you get great views of Lisbon.
We circled back to visit the Jeronimos Monastery. Construction of this monastery was ordered by King Manuel, who selected the religious order of Hieronymite monks to occupy the monastery.
Pastéis de nata were created by the monks at the Jerónimos Monastery, and seeing as we were right next door, this was a very logical stop. After browsing at the Sunday Market we walked over to the Santa Justa Elevator, which is the only street lift in Lisbon for public service.

Ferry from Croatia to Italy travel vlog from Dubrovnik to Bari
Come join us as we take an overnight ferry from Croatia to Italy departing from Dubrovnik and arriving in Bari in this travel vlog. Aside from our overnight ferry our journey which started in Budva, Montenegro included bus trips and a train ride to get to our final destination of Matera, Italy. It ended up being a long journey but surprisingly we felt refreshed especially by having a chance to sleep overnight on the ferry. If you're considering taking the ferry from Croatia to Italy or Italy to Croatia we'd highly recommend it.

Ferry from Croatia to Italy travel vlog from Dubrovnik to Bari Video Transcript:
Alright guys good morning. Good morning. It is time for a very long long travel day ahead us. Yeah. Want to tell us what is the plan for today? Well, this is going to be our longest travel vlog we've ever created. We're going to be going to three countries. We're going to be taking the bus, then we're going to be taking an overnight ferry and then we're going to be taking another bus. So basically of yeah we're heading from first off we're heading from Budva, Montenegro to Dubrovnik, Croatia by bus. I think that is going to be about a three hour journey. Yeah. And then we're going to be waiting for a few hours and boarding an overnight ferry and that is going to be really cool. We've never done that before. We've never done an overnight ferry. No. Yeah, so we're going to be going from Dubrovnik, Croatia to Bari, Italy by ferry. Right. And it is overnight. It is going to be a ten hour journey. Yeah. And then once we arrive we're trying to reach Matera. Yes. Which actually I looked it up yesterday it is about an hour by bus. Okay. I had said 30 minutes. It is not 30 minutes. We haven't booked tickets for that so we'll be booking that bus ticket and kind of winging it. But yeah, we'll show you the whole journey and we'll talk about the prices and we'll show you what we eat along the way. So we're really looking forward to this. It is going to be a long vlog. So uh buckle up and let's get going. Let's go.
Well guys our food has arrived. We are eating at what is the name of this place? I always forget. This place is called Taboo and we ate here when we first arrived in Budva because it was too early to check in to our apartment. Yeah. So I got myself some kind of panini with prosciutto, tomato, cheese, lettuce, fries and Sam got himself pizza. Yeah, thin crust pizza. Yeah. So it looks good. How is it? The fries are good. I haven't tried the sandwich yet.
But it looks nice. Yeah, covered in sesame seeds. One thing I have to say is uh compared to Croatia and Bosnia the food that we had in Montenegro was a pretty big step down. Haha. In terms of like it just we didn't find that many restaurants that we loved. Yeah. I think our best meal was the one we had on that day trip (to Perast). Do you remember? Pasta. That is right. Perast. Yeah, exactly. Yeah. But this is like you know this place is I would say has okay food. Yeah. Um, good prices. It is like International food. Yeah. Stuff you could find anywhere. Pastas, pizzas, sandwiches but there is nothing like super local or traditional. Yeah but it is fine. We need a snack before we get on the bus. This works.

Castello di Baratuli a Monastir ~ 30 Marzo 2017 | Viaggiare in Sardegna
Percorrendo la SS 131 tra Monastir e Ussana, sulla destra possiamo osservare un gruppo di collinette di forma conica di origine vulcanica; la più alta merita una attenzione speciale per le rovine che si trovano in cima. Si tratta del “Monte Olladiri” che dall'alto dei suoi 235 metri ospita le rovine del castello di Baratuli o Bauladiri, riscoperto solo di recente dagli archeologi ( 2010-2011 ).
Storia:
Il castello fù edificato nel XII secolo ( 1151 ) per conto dei Giudici di Cagliari sopra un precedente insediamento dell'Età del Bronzo-Ferro; passò in mano alla famiglia del conte Ugolino della Gherardesca nel 1265 come il più famoso e meglio conservato castello di Acquafredda a Siliqua.
'E evidente come gli ingegneri dell’epoca scegliessero le cime più isolate e inaccessibili per costruirvi le residenze dei potenti dell'epoca; probabilmente comunicavano tra loro mediante segnali luminosi.
Dopo la caduta del conte Ugolino, il castello cadde in mano ai Pisani e non fù più menzionato nei testi, nemmeno nell’atto che sanciva nel 1324 la pace tra i Pisani e gli Aragonesi.
Il documento permetteva ai conti di Donoratico di mantenere in feudo il castello di Gioiosaguardia e delle terre circostanti ma cedeva al re tutti gli altri castelli posseduti nell’Isola, compreso quello d’Acquafredda. Presumibilmente distrutto dai Pisani nel 1308, sicuramente dal 1324 il castello non esisteva più nel censimento del Fara.
Com'è fatto:
Il castello presenta una pianta esagonale attraversata da un cortile principale lastricato per buona parte della sua lunghezza. Superata la breve rampa di accesso, ai lati del cortile troviamo nel lato sinistro i resti della cisterna con i muri con volta a botte, seguita da entrambi i lati da alcune aree funzionali ( depositi, stalle, residenze dei servitori ).
Alla fine del cortile troviamo le fondamenta della base della torre, con nell'accesso una breve ma ben lavorata scalinata e all'interno il pilastro centrale di sostegno. Una parte della torre crollando è finita nelle aree funzionali a ovest, di cui rimane un enorme ammasso di detriti compatto.
Oltre la fine del cortile rimane osservabile la
fornace, accessibile dall'esterno del castello. Nel lato ovest, oltre l'accesso, sono presenti i resti del muro di cinta e una canaletta per il deflusso delle acque.
Quando l'area fù abbandonata si formarono vari strati di detriti composti da blocchi squadrati, mattoni, intonaco, calce; le coperture sono state le prime a crollare,
seguite poi dai muri perimetrali.
Da vedere in zona:
Nei dintorni nel Monte Olladiri e nel vicino Monte Zara possiamo esplorare diverse interessantissime Domus de Janas di epoca prenuragica ( vedi video precedente ) e la cava abbandonata del Monte Olladiri dove si estraeva trachite rossa.
