Bordano is a comune in the Province of Udine in the Italian region Friuli-Venezia Giulia, located about 90 kilometres northwest of Trieste and about 30 kilometres northwest of Udine, on the right bank of the Tagliamento river. Bordano borders the following municipalities: Cavazzo Carnico, Gemona del Friuli, Trasaghis, Venzone.

Grotta Gigante , also known as Riesengrotte or as Grotta di Brisciachi, is a giant cave on the Italian side of the Trieste Karst , close to the village of Borgo Grotta Gigante or Briščiki in the municipality of Sgonico. Its central cavern is 107 m high, 65 m wide and 130 m long, putting it in the 1995 Guinness Book of Records as the world's largest tourist cave. This record was broken in 2010 when La Verna cave in the south west of France was opened to tourists, measuring 255 by 225 by 195 metres .

We are Federica P. and Gabriele S. and, for our english project, we decided to make a short video to present the House of Butterflies of Bordano.

We chose to valorize this place because of its beauty, its importance and because we believe that butterflies are amazing and magic animals, delicate and strong at the same time.

After that, we focused our attention on the important role of the House of Butterflies, in fact this structure in the only one in Friuli Venezia Giulia and the biggest among the 4 that exist in Italy.

Its commerce of fairies is important on international scale and its richness of speciemen makes the House one of the most beautiful places of the Region.

We hope you enjoy the presentation and the fantastic world of butterflies!

Siria-San Simeone Stilita

Siria. I ruderi della chiesa di S. Simeone Stilita situata a circa 30 km. da Aleppo. Fu costruita dopo la morte del santo avvenuta il 2 settembre 459. Edificata tra il 476 e il 491 attorno alla colonna sopra la quale l'asceta trascorse 37 anni della propria vita, andò gradualmente in rovina per effetto di incendi, terremoti e l'abbandono seguito alla conquista araba.
