Lake Linden is a village in Houghton County in the U.S. state of Michigan. The population was 1,007 at the 2010 census. The village is mostly within Schoolcraft Township, though a tiny portion lies in Torch Lake Township.

Keweenaw National Historical Park is a unit of the U.S. National Park Service. Established in 1992, the park celebrates the life and history of the Keweenaw Peninsula in the Upper Peninsula of the U.S. state of Michigan. As of 2009, it is a partly privatized park made up of two primary units, the Calumet Unit and the Quincy Unit, and 21 cooperating Heritage Sites located on federal, state, and privately owned land in and around the Keweenaw Peninsula. 2. Porcupine Mountains State Park Ontonagon
The Porcupine Mountains, or Porkies, are a group of small mountains spanning the northwestern Upper Peninsula of Michigan in Ontonagon and Gogebic counties, near the shore of Lake Superior. The Porcupine Mountains were named by the native Ojibwa people, supposedly because their silhouette had the shape of a crouching porcupine. They are home to the most extensive stand of old growth northern hardwood forest in North America west of the Adirondack Mountains, spanning at least 31,000 acres . In these virgin forests, sugar maple, American basswood, eastern hemlock, and yellow birch are the most abundant tree species. The area is part of the Porcupine Mountains Wilderness State Park.

3. Brockway Mountain Drive Copper Harbor
Brockway Mountain Drive is an 8.883-mile scenic roadway just west of Copper Harbor in the Upper Peninsula of Michigan in the United States. Drivers can access the road from state highway M-26 on either end near Eagle Harbor to the west or Copper Harbor to the east in the Keweenaw Peninsula. The drive runs along the ridge of Brockway Mountain on the Keweenaw Fault and climbs to 1,320 feet above sea level, 720 feet above the surface of Lake Superior. Several viewpoints along the route allow for panoramas of Copper Harbor, Lake Superior, and undeveloped woodland. Fort Wilkins Historic State Park is a historical park operated by the Michigan Department of Natural Resources at Copper Harbor, Michigan. The park preserves the restored 1844 army military outpost, Fort Wilkins, which was placed on the National Register of Historic Places in 1970. The state park's 700 acres include camping and day-use facilities as well as the Copper Harbor Lighthouse, built in 1866. The park is a Cooperating Site of the Keweenaw National Historical Park.

Lake of the Clouds is a lake located in Ontonagon County in the Upper Peninsula of the U.S. state of Michigan within the Porcupine Mountains Wilderness State Park. The lake is situated in a valley between two ridges in the Porcupine Mountains. Surrounded by virgin wilderness and stunning vistas, the lake is a popular destination for hikers, campers, and fishermen.The lake is a prominent feature of the park, and can be viewed at the Lake of the Clouds Overlook at the west terminus of former Michigan highway M-107. The state park occasionally hosts a nighttime sky watch at the lake. The lake is fed from the east end by the Carp River Inlet and the outflow from the western end is the Carp River, which empties into Lake Superior on the boundary between Ontonagon and Gogebic County.

The Quincy Mine is an extensive set of copper mines located near Hancock, Michigan. The mine was owned by the Quincy Mining Company and operated between 1846 and 1945, although some activities continued through the 1970s. The Quincy Mine was known as Old Reliable, as the Quincy Mine Company paid a dividend to investors every year from 1868 through 1920. The Quincy Mining Company Historic District is a United States National Historic Landmark District; other Quincy Mine properties nearby, including the Quincy Mining Company Stamp Mills, the Quincy Dredge Number Two, and the Quincy Smelter are also historically significant.

The Center's prime location is a gateway to some of the region's most popular area attractions.

Onaway is a sportsman's paradise and a nature lover's dream. The area is home to thousands of acres of northern Michigan state forest recreation areas, fishing, hunting and inland lakes. The city is surrounded by thousands of acres of Mackinaw State Forest, and the scenery is breathtaking. Onaway is an all-season, inside and outdoor, recreation destination. It's also just a short jaunt from Burt Lake, Mullet Lake and Michigan's popular Inland Waterways. Onaway is only five miles from its namesake's state park and Black Lake, which is teeming with excellent walleye, bass and perch fishing.

Located in the northeast, lower-peninsula of Michigan, Onaway sits on the western edge of Presque Isle County and is just a short drive from Black Mountain State Forest Recreation Area, Ocqueoc Falls, Petoskey, Charlevoix, the Mackinac Bridge and so many other area attractions. Greenfield Village Dearborn Michigan Full Train Ride In The Summertime

See the full train ride around Greenfield Village at The Henry Ford Museum in Dearborn Michigan. The Weiser Railroad makes a 2.5 mile loop around this historic village. The village is made up of structures moved here from all of the world. In one train ride you will see Henry Ford's boyhood home, The Wright Brother's cycle shop, the first residence to receive electricity, Thomas Edison's laboratory, the home of Noah Webster, an English cottage from the 1600's that was a gift from Henry to Clara for Valentine's Day. Way to up the game, Henry! So many more historical buildings each with storytellers inside to paint the picture of life during the time period. Stand inside the walls where some of the greatest inventions were created. I get goosebumps every time I see the chair nailed to the floor in the Menlo Park Laboratory. Michigan: Bond Falls Scenic Site Part 2

Directions: Tale US-45 north of Watersmeet for 10 miles and turn east on Bond Falls Road in Paulding. Go 3.5 miles and you will arrive at the top of Bond Falls.

From M-28. just east of Bruce Crossing take Calderwood Road south to Bond Falls Road West. Follow the signs to the parking lot and the boardwalk to the viewing platforms.

This scenic waterfall tumbles over ancient fractured volcanic rock in several cascades for a total drop of about 50 feet in all. The falls pools at the bottom creating a little island with a bridge to the island so you can stand in the middle of the falls for an up close view.

There is a new parking area near the base of the falls and an easy level path to the viewing area where you will see one of the most beautiful waterfalls in the Upper Peninsula. A 600' boardwalk leads to 6 viewing platforms for a wonderful view of the falls

There is also roadside parking at the top of the falls where you will find a little park, picnic tables, grills, and a little store that sells snacks and ice cream.

The old trail with some steep rocky climbs on the east side of the falls is still accessible for hikers and there are other trails through the woods.

The steady flow of water over Bond Falls is controlled by a hydroelectric dam operated by the Upper Peninsula Power Company. The flowage above the dam is a delight for anglers of all ages and a favorite fishing spot for trout.
