This is a single-pipe alpine coaster in Mieders, Austria. You reach the summit via a cablecar and then sit on a small car with a brake lever and off you go. Having ridden it once using a little braking, I decided to try it a second time without using the brakes. This is SCARY! Enjoy the ride!

Austria: 11 Things to do with Kids in the Alps of Austria and Tirolean Alps. Melynda gives you a quick top ten list of things to do in the mountains of Austria with kids. We were there for a month and did many things such as horn park, Innsbruck, hiking, and more, and still didn't get to all the fun things one can do in the area with kids. Let us know if you have any suggestions! We visited Salzburg in winter and missed Vienna entirely, so we'll head back one day to see the Eastern part of the country.
For extra details see our videos on Hiking, Horn Adventure Park, and Innsbruck with kids. And thanks for watching.

Riding an Alpine Coaster in Imst (Austria Travel Vlog)
Innsbruck day 4
What an amazing day! We headed to Imst and took the cable car up to the mountain. When we got there we took a long hike up into the mountains and got to see some amazing views of the area. Then we headed to the Alpine Coaster. IT WAS AMAZING! You sat in a small coaster seat and zipped down the track. You got to control your own speed and it lasted around 9 min. Well worth the money!

Mieders Alpine Coaster - Your questions answered!
In response to your many questions on the Mieders Alpine Coaster video, here is a short film where I answer the most commonly asked questions about it...where is it, do they have a website, how fast does it go, what if a bear was on the tracks, what do the cars look like, how to they get them back up the mountain, and how do you stop at the end!

High Alpine Reservoirs, Kaprun, Austria
Kaprun High Mountains Reservoir might be the most photogenic place I saw not just in #Salzburg region but maybe in the whole of #Austria. Reaching the reservoirs itself is a big adventure-packed excursion.
The adventure begins at the Kesselfall Alpenhaus, where a free parking space is reserved for private vehicles. You are then taken to the Lärchwand diagonal lift - the largest in Europe through scenic bus ride. The route leads past the bottom of the waterfall to the Mooserboden reservoir at an altitude of 2,040 m, affording a wonderful view of the Hohe Tauern glaciers. After reaching the reservoirs, you can either enjoy the delicacies at the Mooserboden restaurant or watch World of Adventure - Power and Ice documentary at the visitors' center. Whatever you choose, you cannot miss the top view.
Hope you enjoy this video.

WHERE IS KELTENBLITZ? (ALPINE SLIDE)
Just tell the driver that you are going to Keltenblitz in Durrnberg.
We mentioned toboggan but they didn't understand, they know Keltenblitz (that's the magic word).
Don't miss this thrilling experience when you visit Salzburg in summer.
Enjoy!!! :)
