In and Around : INNSBRUCK | Austria (Sony RX100)
Innsbruck, capital of Tirol alongside the surrounding villages is undeniably a great area located in the heart of the North Tyrolean Alps in Austria. The capital of alps is really an unique blend of alpine urban experiences – in a place where the mountains meet the valley and the city is one with nature.
Innsbruck was certainly one of the most picturesque and scenic place i have ever been to. This dream of a short getaway was 5 days long in early June 2016 alongside 3 of my best mates and I hope to visit Austria again in Future.

EXPLORING INNSBRUCK: AUSTRIA'S most beautiful medieval town, what to see, top sites to visit
SUBSCRIBE: - Let's travel back in time by strolling through the 800 year old city center of Innsbruck. A classic Austrian hybrid of Gothic and Baroque, the Old Town exudes a special charm and sophistication that is unique in the Alps.
In the heart of Tirol, only two hours away from Salzburg and Munich, Innsbruck’s Old Town is a small area of sturdy medieval houses, many painted in lively pastel colors and supported by sloping buttresses. As you stroll along the main street of the Old Town Innsbruck, you’ll feel as if you had taken a trip back in time to an era of knights and medieval merchants. Stop by the Folk Art Museum, the Imperial Palace, and the Imperial Chapel, all of which give great insight into Innsbruck’s past.
Busy street cafes afford great views of Innsbruck’s landmark, the Golden Roof, and its 2,738 gold-plated copper tiles. Constructed for Emperor Maximilian I. in the early 15th century, it served as a royal box where he could sit in luxury and enjoy tournaments in the square below. Today, Maximilian would see a busy shopping street with many exquisite boutiques, crafts-shops and restaurants.

Innsbruck in Tirol – Summer Holidays in Austria
We sent some Brits to Innsbruck in Tirol (Austria) in search of the perfect selfie – and the perfect summer adventure! Learn more about what they experienced here and build your own summer holiday:
When you first discover Innsbruck, you might wonder why you didn’t visit sooner. After all, this city offers a unique combination: You can stroll its streets full of imperial elegance and beautiful Baroque and Gothic architecture in the Old Town, maybe even discover one of the hip districts such as Mariahilf and St. Nikolaus where Innsbruck’s uni students like to meet for a beer or cocktail. And then, you can take a cable car from the city centre and be at 2,000 m in just 20 minutes.

The Penz Hotel in Innsbruck, Austria
During my trip to Innsbruck I spent 2 nights at the wonderful Penz Hotel in the city center.
Everything about it was amazing and I wanted to make a short video highlighting my experience at the hotel.
The Penz is a design hotel (the first in the city) and it's one of the more modern, updated and higher quality places to stay in all of Innsbruck.
The rooms are spacious, breakfast is impressive and there's even on-site parking underground if you're traveling by car.
For more info check out my detailed of the review of the Penz Hotel on my blog:
