Caddy Lake is a lake in Manitoba, Canada. It is near the eastern border of Manitoba . It is in the Whiteshell Provincial Park. The lake has two islands and two campgrounds. The campgrounds are called Caddy Lake Campground and Green Bay Resort and Campground [1]. It is not a very large lake but is connected to South Cross Lake then North Cross Lake and then Sailing Lake by a series of rock tunnels. Caddy Lake Girl Guide Camp is also located on the lake. It is located near West Hawk Lake and Falcon Lake. Fishing is a popular sport on the lake.

The lake is named for Métis poet and songwriter Pierre Falcon .It is known in Ufology for the May 20, 1967 UFO sighting known as the Falcon Lake Incident.The 2010 album The Falcon Lake Incident was recorded at a cottage on Falcon Lake by Canadian singer-songwriter Jim Bryson.The lake inspired the name of TV series Falcon Beach although that fictional location is set on another Manitoba Lake. The lake was also a favourite summer destination of Neil Young, who wrote a song entitled Falcon Lake while with the Buffalo Springfield.

Ahhh, the anticipation for opening day of fishing season in Manitoba. We started the season off right with an awesome trip to Nopiming Provincial Park in Manitoba's eastern region. The goal was fish new lakes for some of Manitoba's biggest Smallmouth Bass. We even found a couple good Walleyes along the way! Sleeping Giant Provincial Park (Top of the Giant Hike) // Road Trip 2019

What a great hike in Northern Ontario! Our first time in Thunder Bay, our first time Walmart camping, and our first time at Sleeping Giant National Park! We really enjoyed our 22 km hike, which took a full day. We took our time and try to really savor each fantastic views, overlooking Lake Superior. The weather was perfect and we felt like we were the only ones there. We definitely recommend Sleeping Giant National Park!

After our hike we made use of our day pass (which costs $15.50), so we filled up our 15L water jug and we took showers at Marie Louise Lake Campgrounds. Showering in warm water!! Wow!! We both felt incredible to be so clean, for the first time in a week!

Next stop, Winnipeg!

Canadian Road Trip Diary: #5 North Manitoba

Prue and Becks are on a 100 Ultimate Canadian Road Trip. Starting in Toronto they bought a car and have plans to explore as much of Canada's landscapes, nature and wildlife as possible. Doing it on the cheap, this duo are camping, seeking adventure and having as much fun as they can find along the way. --------- Heading north to Thompson, we take our time to explore some of the little nooks in Manitoba stopping off at Grass River and Paint Lake Provincial Park for a few days.
