The town was the administrative centre of the Mount Morgan Shire until March 2008, when it was amalgamated with neighbouring local government areas to form the Rockhampton Region. Lake Victoria Camp, Lake Victoria, is bush camping at its finest. No facilities, no reception, no marked sites, remote and for the most part probably not another soul around. The lake is hardly the most picture perfect but it'll keep the kids entertained while you kick back with a fishing rod and a brew. As stated this place has nothing so you will need to come prepared. Nice spot at sunset.
