Bonjour Friends,
A Day Well Spent in Annecy. France
Soooo after Nice, France, we stated our journey for Annecy. We could not see it much as our car broke down as we crossed France-Italia Border and then all that trouble happened. We had just one day to spend in Annecy, France.
We were very tired after driving for 10 hrs stratight and we spent half a day sleeping when we reached our hostel in Annecy :)
But without wasting much time (that was left), we explored Old Town which is called La Vieille Ville and Lake Annecy.
Old Town, La Vieille Ville -
It is a good place to walk around and enjoy the medieval architecture and canals to do some window shopping. There are plenty of restaurants and cafes but if you are vegetarian then you have to try really hard to find a place where you can eat. We found a cafe where there was no vegetarian food but they custom made a bruschetta for us. They mentioned that they loved us, that is why they did that :)
It is a small place that can be explored in 2 hrs.
Lake Annecy -
It is indeed one of the best lakes we have seen so far. It is the third largest lakes in France. The entire place was so green, clean and the awesome weather added to the experience. There were people jogging, cycling, walking and we were collecting pine cones that are still in our house :)
Overall, we were glad that we kept Annecy, France in our itinerary and would love to visit there again.
Do visit Annecy and you will find amazing people there and will have wonderful experience.

From the Midlands of England to the Northern seaside; 3 day road trip
First stop, Nottingham! To see where the legend of Robin Hood began! Then onto the walled city of York to check out the shambles and massive cathedral. From there we went through the picturesque North York Moors and caught the sunset before arriving in Whitby, where's its ruined Cathedral gave Bram Stoker his inspiration for Dracula!
