Not to be confused with Alvesta in Kronoberg County, Sweden. Avesta is a locality and the seat of Avesta Municipality in Dalarna County, Sweden, with 11,949 inhabitants in 2015.The name is first found in 1303 as Aghastadhum. Aghe is of similar origin as the word å, meaning stream, in this case the Avestafors, a tributary of the river Dalälven. Stadhum was dative plural of a word of similar origin as stead, or farm.

1. Carl Larsson House Sundborn
Carl Larsson was a Swedish painter representative of the Arts and Crafts movement. His many paintings include oils, watercolors, and frescoes. He considered his finest work to be Midvinterblot , a large painting now displayed inside the Swedish National Museum of Fine Arts.

2. Gripsholm Castle Mariefred
Gripsholm Castle is a castle in Mariefred, Södermanland, Sweden. It is located by lake Mälaren in south central Sweden, in the municipality of Strängnäs, about 60 km west of Stockholm. Since Gustav Vasa, Gripsholm has belonged to the Swedish Royal Family and was used as one of their residences until the 18th-century. It is now a museum, but it is still considered to be a palace at the disposal of the King and as such it is part of the Crown palaces in Sweden.

The big lake you see is called Vättern.

Vättern is the second largest lake (by surface area) in Sweden, and the sixth largest lake in Europe.

One of the etymologies for name Vättern is from vatten, the Swedish word for water. This origin is, however, unclear and in dispute. It has also been suggested that the archaic term vätter, meaning forest or lake spirits, is the origin of the lake's name.

In this little town and around the lake, is many non-physical beings, I have experienced, the presence of dragons, unicorns, angels, fairies, and there have also been a lot of UFOs in and around the lake.
