Deep Creek NC | Great Smoky Mountains National Park
#smokymountainsnationalpark #deepcreek #smokymountainscamping The Great Smoky Mountains National Park located at Deep Creek NC is an absolute treasure. Joan, I, the kids and grand kids visited for a week to enjoy the great tubing, trails and nature. Tubing is the main summer draw and I now understand why. We had a great two days of tubing from a number of different site to enter the creek. Gentle rapids and fun areas just to float were a enjoyed by the whole crew. We also took in a number of the trails to several waterfalls enjoying the scenery taking a ton of pictures. The park offers a campground, but short, primitive sites only with no water, electric, but bathroom facilities and a dump station is provided. We loved this area with so much to see and do.

Boone Cave (North Carolina)
Our first time to visit Daniel Boone's Cave on January 19, 2010.
One Bat Cave, LOST Trail, Linville Gorge
One Bat Cave is a large cave located on the LOST (Lower Original Scramblers Trail) trail in the Linville Gorge. LOST is part of the original Rock Jock Trail before it burned, and it meanders around the base of Blue Jay Point to the bottom of Zen Canyon. Nestled in the Blue Ridge Mountains of North Carolina, the Linville Gorge is a popular place for wilderness camping, backpacking, hiking, rock climbing, and more.
North Carolina Autumn From the Air
Only with a bird's-eye view can you truly grasp North Carolina's immense autumnal beauty. In the western mountains, where the deciduous forests burn with autumn orange, the state's spectacular fall colors are arguably at their best. Further east in the Piedmont, picturesque lakes and woodlands are the backdrop for markets and festivals showing off all kinds of fall produce and other treats. And on the coast, long, empty stretches of Outer Banks beaches sit waiting to be explored.
All this to say: The entirety of North Carolina transforms into a fall wonderland. And even if you've seen parts of the season here before, we bet you've never seen it like this. Here it is, North Carolina's autumn from the air.
