5 Top-Rated Ski Resorts in Italy | Europe Ski Resort Guide
5 Top-Rated Ski Resorts in Italy, Europe
Europe's highest mountain ranges - the Dolomites and the French, Swiss, and Savoy Alps - form Italy's borders on the north and west. On their snow-covered slopes are some of Europe's most famous ski resorts. At these high altitudes - more than a dozen peaks in the Dolomites alone exceed 3,000 meters - snow is almost certain from November through April, and the season is often longer. The most skiable terrain and the broadest range of opportunities are in the Dolomites, where 12 major ski areas total more than 1,200 kilometers of ski trails. Whichever region you choose - the Dolomites, the Val d'Aosta (where Italy borders France and Switzerland), or the Savoy Alps west of Turin - you'll be rewarded by spectacular scenery and single ski runs that can take several hours, dropping from high in the mountains all the way into the resort town at the base. And you'll find plenty of things to do here in your off-slope time, as well. Here five ski resorts in Italy.
1. Cortina d'Ampezzo
2. Breuil-Cervinia and Valtournenche
3. Courmayeur
4. Val Gardena
5. Alpe di Siusi

Top 5 Skiing Locations in Italy
With winter just around the corner, people are already breaking out their skiing gear and taking a look at some of their favorite places to hit the slopes. Italy is blessed with an impressive ski range, with the central core of the Dolomites taking the spotlight. In addition, the in-resort costs here are much more affordable compared to other resorts around Europe. And while Italy has many rival skiing destinations, it has a much more laid back atmosphere that many skiers – both casual and advanced – certainly appreciate.

Bellagio, Varenna, Tremezzo - Villages of Lake Como, Italy! The most romantic place on earth

Best app to navigate Italian trains - Trenit
ttps://itunes.apple.com/us/app/trenìt-find-trains-in-italy/id1058908183?mt=8
Probably one of the most romantic places on earth is Lake Como (Como Lago) It is absolutely amazing, everywhere you go you have breathtaking views.
It is very easy to get to from Malpensa airport in Milan. You can either take a taxi for aprox 150Euros or save a bundle with the train and ferry. I chose the train and it couldnt have been easier. In terminal 1, I followed the sighns for the train which brought me to their ticket counter. I just told them where I wanted to go and they gave me my tickets. The fastest was to Como Lago is with a stop in Sarrona. This train runs aprox every 20 minutes and is around a 20 minute ride. Then you will grab the Como Lago train, which runs less often, and is an aprox 43 minute ride, ending in Como. I found an amazing app, TRENIT, just search for it in your app store. This app will show you all options for trains as well as platform information. This was awesome because I only had 2 minutes to change trains or I would have to wait for the next one which was 1-2 hours later. So since I knew that I would be arriving on platform 2 and departing on platform 4, I was able to run and made it perfectly. There are plenty of awesome places to stay right there in como, or head to one of the other lake villages. I stayed at Tremezzo, which is just across from Bellagio so I grabbed the ferry. They have the fast ferry with inside seating which only takes about 43 minutes, they also offer the slow ferry, with inside and outside seating. This one takes much longer because it stops at each village on its way.
Once in Tremezzo, I stayed at the Grand Hotel Tremezzo, which was AMAZING!!! after I got situated I bought a ferry day pass for only 15EURs which takes you between Lenno, Tremezzo, Bellagio, Varrena and Menaggio. Get off and on as much as you want.
Bellagio is ine of the favorites for most vacationers, but I fell in love with Varrena. You can hike up to the top of the mountain and visit Castela de Vesio, also explore Villa Monestero which offers amazing gardens and views.

Bangkok Gay Guide
If you’re looking for a gay friendly area to stay in Bangkok or even just for that One Night Only type of experience, this is where all the fun begins, at the Silom Intersection. Here at the happy crossroads, we stand in the middle of a hub for gay travellers. It is here that we will start our tour to see all that this delightful area has to offer.
It’s all walking distance so there’s no need to worry about taxis, sky trains or even the need of a map.Head out onto Silom Soi 2 and 2/1 and watch the action unfold here. There is the Diamond Bar where you can indulge in the delicious Italian-Thai menu and get the night going with the extensive wine list. Then turn it up a notch and head on over to Soi 2 Bar, home of the famous DJ Station.
If a party isn’t a party until it goes into the wee hours of the morning, then check out G.O.D, which let’s you party until 6am. Shirts will be coming off before you know it! Some different options are just one street down, in the famous Soi 4. An oldie but a goodie is the Telephone Pub, a gay pub and karaoke. It has earned its reputation as the centre of the gay social life, a place of conversation and a great time!
Then moving deeper into the Soi, you will come across the mysterious and alluring Stanger Bar: a 3-storey single unit with an outdoor seating area. The perfect night to visit would be next week when they will be celebrating their 1st year anniversary with a cocktail reception. But on any given night, expect a free “Sperm” shot, sip on a cocktail and marvel at the dark and moody décor.

Pattaya Hotel $12/Night Scandalic Guesthouse With Girls on Soi 9
This hotel in Pattaya is located on Soi 9, just a small place with 10 rooms or so. It is called Scandalic named by the Swedish owner and there is also a small bar with a pool table downstairs and they can cook up hot dogs and hamburgers on the grill. Some of the rooms are 400 baht or about $12 (rooms with no windows) and other rooms are $15 or 500 baht.
The staff is very friendly, the one is the cashier who showed me the room.
The hotel has AC, wifi and cable TV.
The hotel sits in the middle of Pattaya on Soi 9 also known as Soi Skaw Beach named after an old hotel called Skaw Hotel that has been here for a long time. It is just a 10 minute walk from Beach Road and a 5 minute walk to Central Shopping Mall. Also you can walk to Soi Buakhow in 5 minutes so it is a very central location.
This place is just across the street from the Owl Hostel I reviewed in another video.
