Caselette is a town and comune in the Metropolitan City of Turin, in the Piedmont region of northern Italy. It is located at the entrance of the Val di Susa, 18 kilometres from Turin, at the foot of Monte Musinè. It is home to the Castle of the Cays Count, which is currently owned by the Salesians. Rock carvings of uncertain origin and the remains of a Roman villa have been found in the vicinity, on Mount Musinè.

The Sacra di San Michele, sometimes known as Saint Michael's Abbey, is a religious complex on Mount Pirchiriano, situated on the south side of the Val di Susa in the territory of the municipality of Sant'Ambrogio di Torino, in the Metropolitan City of Turin, Piedmont region of northwestern Italy. The abbey, which for much of its history came under Benedictine rule, is now entrusted to the Rosminians. A special regional law acknowledges it as the Symbolic monument of the Piedmont region. This monumental abbey served as one of the inspirations for the book The Name of the Rose by Umberto Eco.

Orta San Giulio is a town and comune in the Province of Novara in the Italian region of Piedmont, located about 100 kilometres northeast of Turin and about 40 kilometres northwest of Novara. The town itself is built on a promontory which juts out from the eastern bank of Lake Orta close to Isola San Giulio, an island which also falls within the municipal boundaries. The frazione Legro stands on the hill which rises behind the promontory, Corconio is some 2 kilometres further south, and again away from the lake, while Imola consists of a small number of dwellings between the two, but close to the lake on the road leading to Gozzano. Built as a royal hunting lodge in the early 18th century, it is located in Stupinigi, a suburb of the town of Nichelino, 10 km southwest of Turin.
