Saint-Emilion is a charming medieval village located in the heart of the famous Bordeaux wine area. In 1999 it was declared a World Heritage Site by UNESCO. It is well known for its wineries, delicious Grand-Cru wine and beautiful architecture. As it is only about 40 minutes’ drive away from Bordeaux, we decided to stop by for few hours to explore the town.
