The National Museum of the Mighty Eighth Air Force is a non-profit 501 organization with a modern extensive museum facility located in Pooler, Georgia, in the western suburbs of Savannah. It is at exit 102 of I-95. It educates visitors through the use of exhibits, artifacts, archival materials, and stories, most of which are dedicated to the history of the Eighth Air Force of the United States Army Air Corps that served in the European Theatre during World War II. Among the many World War II exhibits are aircraft including a B-17 Flying Fortress bomber that can be viewed while being restored, a model of a Messerschmitt Bf 109G fighter, and a 3/4-scale model of a P-51 Mustang fighter. St. Marys is a city in Camden County, Georgia, United States. The city is the gateway to Cumberland Island National Seashore, the largest of the Georgia Coast's barrier islands. The National Seashore's visitor center and boat access are both located at the St. Marys waterfront. The city is also home to the annual St. Marys Rock Shrimp Festival, the St. Marys Submarine Museum, and Crooked River State Park. Its territory is immediately bordered by Kings Bay Naval Submarine Base, which is the home port for several Ohio-class submarines. The population of St. Marys was 17,121 as of the 2010 Census.

Fort Morris is an earthen works fort in Liberty County, Georgia, in the United States. The fort is on a bend in the Medway River and played an important role in the protection of southeast Georgia throughout various conflicts beginning in 1741 and ending in 1865 at the conclusion of the American Civil War, including the French and Indian and American Revolutionary Wars and War of 1812. The historic site is 70 acres in size and sits at an elevation of 23 feet .On May 13, 1970, the fort was added to the National Register of Historic Places. Today it is a state park, Fort Morris Historic Site.
