2. Marine Museum KarlskronaKarlskrona A maritime museum is a museum specializing in the display of objects relating to ships and travel on large bodies of water. A subcategory of maritime museums are naval museums, which focus on navies and the military use of the sea. The great prize of a maritime museum is a historic ship made accessible as a museum ship, but as these are large and require a considerable budget to maintain, many museums preserve smaller or more fragile ships or partial ships within the museum buildings. Most museums exhibit interesting pieces of ships , ship models, and miscellaneous small items associated with ships and shipping, like cutlery, uniforms, and so forth. Ship modellers often have a close association with maritime museums; not only does the museum have items that help the modeller achieve better... From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia.
3. Ales StenarYstad Ale's Stones is a megalithic monument in Scania in southern Sweden. It is a stone ship, oval in outline, with the stones at each end markedly larger than the rest. It is 67 m long formed by 59 large boulders, weighing up to 1.8 tonnes each. The carbon-14 dating system for organic remains has provided seven results at the site. One indicates that the material is around 5,500 years old whereas the remaining six indicate a date about 1,400 years ago. The latter is considered to be the most likely time for Ales Stenar to have been created. That would place its creation towards the end of the Nordic Iron Age. From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia.

Winter Camp with @outdoors_andy — Travelogue #029
Snowfalls finally arrived over South Sweden and that’s the perfect time to go off trail and setup camp in the middle of Vedema hiking area. Meeting with @outdoors_andy ( make the trip even more interesting… camp and fire was done in no-time: teamwork! From each new person I meet I learn something and it’s no exception here… I’m far from being Swedish skilled… I guess I compensate this lack of outdoor knowledge with my technical knowledge in my gears (clothes or electronics). Exemple, I feel safe wandering in the wood off trail because I can find my way with: 1- my Suunto watch 2- my phone 3- my compass 4- my drone (yeah… I can send it up to see far) But at the reverse, @outdoors_andy was wandering without guiding equipment and I found out in the evening that his phone battery died long time ago… and he was completely fine in going off trail. My sense of orientation is not that good that I can rely on it like this. Anyway it was an awesome trip!

Winter in Skåne Nature – Vedema strövområde – Skåneleden 2 & Off-Trail – Day 1
By the time I’m posting this video, the temperature here has jumped +30C. It will not come to a surprise to anybody that knows me or follow me since a while… I love winter and snow! Where most people are reluctant to go outdoors for overnight below freezing temperature, I love it… it add to the trip this challenge and “refreshing” feeling. I went out with Andi (who just started on YouTube by the way: Even tough it can’t be seen on the video, it was a really interesting trip because Andi has a more “natural”, if I may say, approach to outdoors… he would stand with his tarp and summer bag below zero Celcius temperature and I would just bring on the gear I carefully selected which will make my tent even more confortable than a house (if you take in consideration that I have the view). He wrote a blog article about this trip, I really enjoyed seeing his view point on it:

Finishing the SL1 trail… almost – Örkelljunga-Lärkesholm – Skåneleden 1 – Day 1
This day started by bus and train late, too late to go and track back home… but finally on Saturday afternoon I reached the city of Örkelljunga… there I started… I did already this section of the trail in a much colder weather but now it’s summer. As always the lakes views and forest are beautiful and I’m really surprised nobody was at the shelter of Lärkesholm. Oh and when you carve wood… don’t do like me and avoid to put your finger on the way of the knife. Just saying.

Finishing the SL1 trail… almost – Lärkesholm-Åsljunga – Skåneleden 1 – Day 2
Healing process of my wound from the day before injury was starting… and now pain was beating harder on my nerves. Additionally to that, the custom cable I did for my solar system did not work well (bad soldering… my fault) and the result was empty batteries for the day. Anyway… some days are like that.
