Harrogate is a city in Claiborne County, Tennessee, United States. It is adjacent to Cumberland Gap National Historical Park. The community has been known as Harrogate since the 19th century, but did not incorporate as a city by that name until 1992. As of the 2010 census, its population was 4,389.Before incorporation, the United States Census Bureau treated Harrogate as a census-designated place called Harrogate-Shawanee. At the time of the 2000 census the CDP had a population of 2,865.

    The Royal Hall is a Grade II* listed performance hall and theatre, located in Harrogate, North Yorkshire, England. With local benefactors led by engineering inventor Samson Fox, the building opened in 1903 as the Kursaal. Designed by Robert Beale and Frank Matcham, one of the most prolific theatre architects of his time, it was loosely based on the design of the Ostende Kursall in Belgium. Kursaal is a German language word which translates literally as “Cure Hall,” but was used for grand receptions and special occasions.
