Ontinyent is a municipality in the comarca of Vall d'Albaida in the Valencian Community, Spain. It is situated on the right bank of the Clariano or Ontinyent, a tributary of the Xúquer, and on the Xàtiva–Alcoi railway.Ontinyent has a parish church remarkable for its lofty square tower, and a palace of the dukes of Almodòver. By 1910 there was a large modern suburb outside the old town, which was a walled city; some vestiges of the ramparts still remain. In 1910 linen and woolen cloth, paper, brandy, furniture and earthenware were manufactured; and there was some trade in cereals, wine, almonds and olive oil.

Tabarca also known in Valencian as Nova Tabarca and Illa Plana, and in Spanish as Nueva Tabarca and Isla Plana, is an islet located in the Mediterranean Sea, close to the town of Santa Pola, in the province of Alicante, Valencian community, Spain. Tabarca is the smallest permanently inhabited islet in Spain and it is currently known for its marine reserve.

Albufera derives from the Arabic word small sea.
Valencia’s Albufera region is one of the largest and most valuable coastal wetlands to the Valencian community. In 1986 it was declared a Natural Park. Albufera plays an extremely important role towards the environment as many species nearing extinction habitat its lands, such as the toothed carp fish.

The natural biodiversity of the nature reserve allows a great variety of flora and fauna to thrive and be observed year-round. Though once a saltwater lagoon, dilution due to irrigation and canals draining into the estuary and the sand bars increasing in size had converted it to freshwater by the seventeenth century.

Had 3 weeks here for some winter hiking. Was sunny in the daytime (17c), down to freezing at night. It's a good area for short hikes, and if you want to go off partying, Benidorm is a 90 minute drive.
I know it's a bit of a naff video, but I'm going to keep it as simple as possible whilst on the PCT, the majority of stuff will be stills and short video clips on Instagram, with hindsight I wish I hadn't bothered with the music, bit annoying, won't use again. Have now found a better editing app

Beautiful Nature Park in Spain (Alzira - Valencia)

In diesem Video begleitet ihr UNS (Neus,Jan und mich) beim Wandern durch den Vall de la Murta Naturpark in der Sierra de la Murta in Alzira, einer Stadt aus der Region von Valencia in Spanien.

Murta = Myrte eine für dieses Gebiet typische Pflanzenart!

Auf schönen Wanderpfaden kann man das Hierkonymus Kloster,Aquädukte,Myrthen und viele Tiere entdecken.

Ziel unseres Ausflug war das Creu de Cardenal,ein Metallkreuz auf der Spitze eines Berges!!!

Von diesem Punkt aus hat man eine grandiose Aussicht!!!!Auf der einen Seite das Meer.....auf der anderen eine tolle Berglandschaft.

Neus , Jan und ich hatten eine schöne Zeit in diesem wirklich sehr schönen Naturpark!!!

On this beautiful Trekking you can discover the Hierkonymus Cloister,Aqueducts ,Myrtles and a lot of Animals!

The GOAL of our hiking Tour was the metal Cross on the top of a Mountain called Creu de Cardenal!

It is an awesome Viewpoint! On one side you will see the Sea and on the other a beautiful Mountain Range!

Neus,Jan and me had an georgeous Time in this beautiful Nature Park!!
