Today was all about Rome vs. Christianity!
We visited the Colosseum, Arch of Constantine, Roman Forum, Arch of Titus, Mamertine Prison, and the Capitoline Hill.
We also got to check out the Catacombs, and the Basilica of St. Paul Outside the Wall (burial site of Paul).

Today we visited Siena, the place Pope Pius VI was imprisoned in 1798, and an inquisition museum. Then we drove to Ravenna and visited the Mausoleum of Theodoric, King of Ostrogoths—the last evidence of the “three horns”—the Ostrogoths.
