How is life in Uitgeest??? Noord Holland, the Netherlands
Uitgeest is a town in the province of North Holland, The Netherlands. It has a total area of 22.29 km and has a population of around 13,700. Uitgeest is close to the highways of A9 and N8/A8. That is why from here you can easily access Amsterdam in around 15 to 20 minutes. The things you can do in Uitgeest are: sailing/water sport, picnic by the lake or swim by De Zien (public outdoor pool). You can also enjoy the beaches & visit the neighboring towns of Castricum, Heemskerk, Wijk aan Zee and IJmuiden. If you want to experience the Cheese Market, you can go by bus or by train to Alkmaar.

Zaandam is a small city 12 minutes away by train from Amsterdam, Netherlands. It's a place where you can see unique and creative buildings. Famous for its windmill town, 'Zaanse Schans' is part of Zaandam.
The landmarks here are Zaandam Station, Zaandam City Hall, Inntel Hotels. (You can see at the beginning of the video) I personally like the design of city hall.
Other things to do in Zaandam are Monet Atelier & Czar Peter House. Monet, an impressionist painter, stayed in Zaandam and left more than 30 paintings. In the atelier, you would see nice display of reproduction paintings Monet did while in Zaandam. There's also video that gives the history of Monet's time in Zaandam.
Peter the Great wanted Russia to be a powerful nation. He went to Zaandam and learned art of shipbuilding himself. He stayed in Zaandam only few days, but preservation of his house is quite good.

Kasteel en Landgoed Groeneveld bij Baarn Nederland
Kasteel Groeneveld is een landgoed in de gemeente Baarn. Het is in gebruik als Buitenplaats voor stad en land van Staatsbosbeheer. Een lange oprijlaan vanaf de Amsterdamsestraatweg vormt de zichtas van het landgoed. Deze zichtas loopt via de gang op de bel-etage door tot ongeveer twee kilometer in de bossen achter het kasteel. Vroeger liep de zichtas zelfs door tot de Monnikenberg richting Hilversum.
In de zeventiende en achttiende eeuw was het gebruikelijk voor rijke Amsterdammers om een buitenplaats aan te schaffen waar tijdens de zomer kon worden verpoosd. Vaak liggen deze buitens op de grens van zand- en veengrond. De landgoederen in 't Gooi ('s-Graveland), langs de Vecht en aan de binnenduinrand (de Keukenhof) zijn hier voorbeelden van.
Het landgoed rond het kasteel is ongeveer 130 ha en wordt beheerd door Staatsbosbeheer. Het park van kasteel Groeneveld werd aangelegd in de Hollandse Barokke stijl, die wordt gekenmerkt door strenge geometrische vormen en imponerende oprijlanen.
Toen in de achttiende en negentiende eeuw de Engelse landschapsstijl opgeld deed, werd het park omgevormd. Waterpartijen, heuvels, slingerende paden en boompartijen werden aangelegd. Vooral na 1830 werd de landschapsstijl in Groeneveld geperfectioneerd. Ook werd er een ijskelder aangelegd. Deze bestaat nog en wordt nu bewoond door grootoorvleermuizen.
Nadat de tuin tientallen jaren was verwaarloosd, werd hij eind 70'er jaren door Michael van Gessel gerestaureerd, waarbij hij de landschapsstijlen uit de verschillende perioden intact liet en samenbracht tot een geheel.

Netherlands Old house De Swaen Uitgeest Noord-Holland Oud huis De Swaen Nederland
Originally here was a 17th-century building, it was called Hoge Huys. Later, the name given to De Swaen. Sat in the building once an inn,shop and a residence. The house on the east side was later built. In 1976 the then dilapidated buildings was demolished to the foundation and rebuilt in its original style to a home. In 1979 the house is ready for occupancy.

Oorspronkelijk stond hier een royaal 17de-eeuws pand dat het Hoge Huys werd genoemd. Later werd er de naam De Swaen aan gegeven. In het pand zat ooit een herberg en een winkel met een woning gevestigd geweest. Het huis aan de oostzijde is later aangebouwd. In 1976 zijn de toen bouwvallige panden tot en met de fundering gesloopt en in de oorspronkelijke stijl weer opgebouwd toe 1 woning. In 1979 kwam het huis voor bewoning gereed.
