Bergen op Zoom can call itself the greenest city in Europe. The Brabant town won in Bristol (England) gold at the annual European green competition Entente Florale.
The international jury, made up of specialists from the ten participating countries, was impressed by the way Bergen op Zoom presented with the theme of green alliance between past and present, the municipality indicated Friday.
The Netherlands are often in league prizes. So took Amstelveen and Weert also sometimes gold.
Bergen op Zoom entered the contest because the city was last year named the greenest of the Netherlands.
