Defunct Roadside Attractions in PA - Long Gone S01E01
Roadside Explorers present the series premiere episode of Long Gone, our new documentary series on the history of roadside attractions that are no longer in operation. Each episode will feature multiple lost attractions as well as showcasing defunct amusement parks and theme parks as well as past Americana travel culture in general.

Crawford County, PA Fishing
Pymatuning Lake Park in Crawford County is the largest man-made lake in Pennsylvania. It provides excellent fishing on its beautiful waters. The Spillway at Pymatuning Lake is famous as an area where you can view ducks walking on the backs of 1000's of carp. Over fifty fishing tournaments are held on Pymatuning's waters every year.
Another great fishing area in Crawford County is Conneaut Lake. The area was established as a prime area for hunting and fishing. The lake's name means place of lingering snow in the Iroquois language. That may be true, but Pennsylvania anglers like to think of Conneaut Lake as the place of many fish.
Whether you're a serious fisherman or just out for a day of fun, you'll find enjoyment at the many stocked lakes, rivers and other fishing opportunities in Crawford County.

Venango County, PA History
Venango County was at the heart of the oil boom in the United States during the eighteen fifties. Following the boom, Venango had earned the nickname the valley that changed the world.
Today, the Pennsylvania oil rush is remembered at the Drake Well Museum, located in Titusville, Pennsylvania, at the exact same location that Drake and Bissell drilled for their oil.
The Pennsylvania oil rush created a number of boom towns including Oil City and Franklin, which still exist today.
Venango County is also home to the Venango Museum of Art, Science and Industry in Oil City. The featured exhibit is Black Gold or Black Magic. Dense with artifacts the exhibit consists of ten areas that explore the influences of oil on every day life, from the eighteen hundreds to today.

This video was shot in the summer of 2003 at the Hotel Conneaut in Conneaut lake park. On 12/22/09 this video was on Paranormal State They called me to do an interview about this video for the episode Dead Legends .On 11/30/2012 Myself and this video were also featured on the BioChannel's My Ghost Story: Caught on Camera episode #50.
Something Strange At
Hotel Conneaut at Conneaut lake park. You see what looks like a little boy. It is not any of my kids. I only had two kids at the time and they were behind me when I come into the hall way. My son is the one saying out, out. He did not want to be in there. No one saw the ghost until we watched the video.
Abandoned: Harrisburg Outdoor YMCA Pool & Campground - New Cumberland Pennsylvania

The Harrisburg Outdoor YMCA and campground was closed down in 2001. It had fallen into disrepair, and they didn't have the money needed to renovate it to the new pool standards that were being set.
