In Morbihan on the southern side of Brittany, Lorient is an oceangoing city of five ports, with the second-largest fishing harbour in France and an enthralling former naval base. Nearly everything you do in Lorient will have a maritime theme, whether you explore an indestructible Nazi submarine base or dive into the high-tech world of yacht racing at the Cité de la Voile.
The very name of “Lorient” is linked to the French East India Company, which was based in the port up to the 1870s. Their headquarters was the fine Hôtel Gabriel, and there’s a museum all about the company in Port-Louis, a brief crossing from Lorient’s ferry port.
Lorient is located on the south coast of Brittany, where the Scorff river and the Blavet river join to form the roadstead of Lorient, before discharging into the Atlantic Ocean. To the south of the city, the Ter river used to flow into the estuary as well, but a dam was built in 1967, so it is now a pond. The city is 503 kilometres (313 mi) south-west of Paris, 153 kilometres (95 mi) south-west of Rennes and 158 kilometres (98 mi) north-west of Nantes. The city comprises different neighbourhoods:

Lorient South Brittany Airport is situated just west of the city at Lann Bihoue, and it has direct flights to Paris. There are also direct flights to London and Porto in the Summer. The Gare de Lorient is the railway station, offering connections to Quimper, Nantes, Rennes, Paris (less than 3 hours by TGV) and several regional destinations. Alot to see in Lorient such as :

Quiberon is a town and a peninsula on the southern coast of the Finistère department of western Brittany, near Carnac. The peninsula is 14 kilometres long and connected to mainland France by little more than a bank of sand with a road across it, with the entrance to the peninsula being overlooked by the 19th century Fort de Penthièvre. Although there are few important monuments in the town of Quiberon it is pleasant to explore: your visit will be centred around the port and on the long sandy beach in the town itself. This main beach is almost one kilometre long and called La Grande Plage.
Behind the beach you can see various grand villas dating from the time that Quiberon became established as a resort at the end of the 19th century, when trainlines first arrived here, as well as some more recent developments. In the town behind the beach you can see typical low Brittany whitewashed houses and shops, and the 12th century Church of Notre-Dame de Locmaria. There is also a small museum dedicated to the history of the Quiberon peninsula, called the Maison du Patrimoine (on rue de Port Haliguen in the town centre). There are two ports here: Port Maria, where the fishing fleet is based and from where you can take excursions to the nearby islands, and Port Haliguen, which is the port for pleasure boats. The castle you can see on a headland is called Chateau Turpault and was built in 1910 - it is not open to the public.
The Quiberon peninsula is a very popular seaside resort in the summer, and has some attractive beaches on the sheltered eastern coast. The most popular beaches (apart from the beach in Quiberon town) are those at Saint-Pierre and Penthievre. At Saint-Pierre-de-Quiberon you can also visit the menhirs (the town lies at the southern end of the 'Coast of megaliths' which runs south from Carnac on to the peninsula).
Head to the most southerly point on the peninsula, called the Pointe du Conguel, for the best view across the to the islands in Quiberon Bay. Pointe de Percho at the north-west of the peninsula is also well worth visiting for the views across to the islands of Belle-Ile and Groix.
The western coast of the peninsula is altogether more dramatic and a popular site with walkers, cyclists and nature lovers. While the coast here is very pleasant to explore on foot or by bike, there is also a road that follows this western part of Quiberon and incorporates numerous stopping places, so it is still easy to enjoy the scenery. Include Kervihan, Kerné and Kerniscop for some of the most dramatic scenery. The other main reason that Quiberon attracts visitors is because ferries to the popular islands of Belle-Ile, Ile de Houat and Ile de Hoedic leave from the port here.

So I finally got my footage of Tahiti and Bora Bora together and edited into a short-ish video (I had about 4 hours of footage). I had a great time on this trip, and I hope you guys enjoy!
If any of you were curious, I was stuck in Tahiti for 4-5 days after we were supposed to leave, because the firemen at the airport went on strike and no one on the island could get a flight out.

The Cité de la Voile Éric Tabarly is a multimedia exhibition center located in Lorient ( France ). This center is the only European tourist site devoted to offshore racing. It presents, in a lively and didactic manner, the methods of construction of modern and older sailboats , as well as the stories and techniques of sailing , while offering the opportunity to experience trips at sea. It is also the port most of the Pen Duick of the navigator, which can be observed at each of their stopovers in Lorient.
The Cité de la voile opened in April 2008 after ten years of gestation. Initiated, immediately after Éric Tabarly's disappearance, by a project of the family and friends of the navigator, as explained in the book dedicated to him, his wife Jacqueline, it was then realized in partnership with the communities with the support of the State and the European Union , and with the technical collaboration of the City of Science and Industry . The annual attendance is then about 100,000 visitors.
Nevertheless, the first years of the decade 2010 saw the frequentation of the site declining on a regular basis, and the city losing money. In 2012, a survey carried out from January to July makes it possible to understand the reasons for this decline, which pushes the management to rethink the city of sailing, and thus to close for six months the exhibition center, in order to evolve the contents and make the place more interactive, all at a cost of 2.2 million euros. The works take place between November 2014 and April 2015, for a reopening at the end of the month.
Its central location is a huge modern building with marine lines, designed by the architect Jacques Ferrier . It is built in the first European pole racing offshore, on the site of the former submarine base of Lorient . This site has also seen the birth of several Pen Duick browser. The Cité de la Voile offers its visitors the chance to experience the adventure of modern sailing and ocean racing. Thus, the permanent exhibition course revolves around films, playful manipulations, re-enactments of boats, radiocontrolled sailboats pool (a conception of Arthur Higan, the wind blows at 20 km / h so that 10 models of sailboats can be controlled), a simulator of 10 places to be at the heart of the activity of a racing boat (a design by Olivier Kernec) .

Ils aiment leur jardin et ça se voit…
En explorant les lieux, on imagine l’ampleur du travail !
Il leur a fallut beaucoup d’années pour obtenir ce résultat !
Et en plus ils sont passionnés par la Nature. Elle vient à eux naturellement vu le contexte.

Le Petit Bé, dernier rempart avant Saint-Malo
Saint-Malo est protégée par des forts conçus par Vauban au XVIIème siècle. Parmi eux le fort du Petit Bé doit être restauré. Longtemps resté la propriété de l'armée française, il est aujourd'hui ouvert au public.
