Must Do In San Francisco California
Hey you guys! Thanks for joining me on another adventure. We are in downtown San Francisco, California. We checked out Lombard Street, the most crooked street in the world. The flowers were pretty! We ate breakfast at New Taraval Cafe; it had a cool vibe, and we especially enjoyed the sausage & bacon. We took a ride on a cable car; the first time for each of us. I was excited to sing the Rice-a-Roni song while on the ride, haha. We took turns using the public restroom on the street; that was a first for April. It reminded me of Get Smart, ha. We got lunch at Icu Market Deli & Ice Cream. The sandwich and ice cream did not disappoint! We had to trek into the sketchier side of San Francisco, but it was well worth it. Plus, it was an adventure! We rode a different kind of cable car (maybe the other is technically called a trolley?) back to the Pier 39 area. April tried her muscles at lifting part of a super heavy anchor. Then we got on the Red and White Fleet for a Golden Gate Bay cruise. It was chilly, but it was so beautiful with the fog. It was so amazing to go under the Golden Gate Bridge and see Alcatraz! We then went to observe the sea lions at Pier 39. We learned that it's mostly males that hang out there. It was fun to watch & listen to them. It was so cool to watch the street artist! We took Andrew's pedicab to the base of the steps up to Coit Tower; April had never ridden on one. Then we got to embark on the millions of stairs up--definitely felt the burn in our legs! But it was a fantastic experience. We decided not to pay the $9 each and wait the 45 mins to go to the top of the tower. One of my favorite things to do when on a journey is just to explore the town or city by foot; I love to just walk around and see the sights. We braved the California rush hour traffic to cross the Golden Gate Bridge and walked some on it before we had to get back in the car to head to the airport. Overall, it was such a blast in California!

Italian Cuisine - Eating a 4 course meal in Matera, Italy
Come join us in Matera Italy as we sample Italian cuisine keying in on eating a four course meal comprised of antipasti, primi piatti, secondi piatti, dolce, digestivo and of course red wine. All in all, the Italian food we ate included a meat and cheese platter, various kinds of pasta, a zucchini cheese bake similar to a lasagna, ricotta cheesecake, red wine and limoncello to finish things off. It was a glorious feast of feasts and the type of meal we recommend trying at least once in Italy; however, do bring your appetite as it is a lot of food.
1) Antipasto (antipasti): meat and cheese platter
2) Primo (primi piatti): Tris Nadi (crapiata, ferricelli, cavatelli alla materana) - Traditional Nadi pasta sampler: crapiata, ferricelli, Matera's cavatelli
3) Secondo (secondi piatti): zucchini cheese bake
4) Dolce: ricotta cheesecake & Digestivo: limoncello

Italian Cuisine - Eating a 4 course meal in Matera, Italy Travel Video Transcript:
It is lunchtime here in Matera and it is another cold rainy day. I'm using my scarf as a blanket while we eat lunch. But anyways yeah we found this really cool restaurant. It is called Nadi. It is in a cave like most buildings seem to be here in Matera and today we have decided to do a 4 course meal. However, our stomachs aren't really trained for the Italian way of eating so we're going to share one four course meal. Between the two of us. No. We already ordered some red wine. Which one did we get?
It is called Primitivo. Nice red wine. We have a little bit of bread and these cute little like round pretzel things. Pretty good. They have fennel. Um, fizzy water and we're waiting for the first course to arrive which would be antipasti. It is local salami and cheeses.
Guys so this is the antipasto lugano. This is our first dish. And my goodness we've already been eating some of the meat because it looked amazing. We couldn't contain ourselves. We couldn't resist.
The waiter did tell us that names for everything but I mean I don't know the language so I can remember maybe like three. I know this one was the ricotta. This is the salumi. And this one I think he said pancetta. The other four I don't know but they look wonderful. I'm going to dig in. It is a combination of it looks like soft and hard cheeses.
That is very light. And like it has a lot of water content. It almost reminds me of the Bocconcini?
Alright so I have passed the plate over. Sam you're going to show us the meats. I'm going to show you the meats. What's going on. I think this is the salumi. Are you seriously using a fork and knife to eat your salumi Sam?
we're moving on to our second dish. Which really is the primi piatti. Or second like that. Which means first dish. It is typically a pasta. Right. But we decided we didn't want just one pasta. We wanted to have a sampler plate. We got three different kinds. We got three different things going on.
So this pasta here it has red peppers and bread crumbs and this other one we've had before it comes with mushrooms and the pork sausage. That's delicious.
this next one is called secondi piatti. And typically it would be a meat dish but we were in the mood to go vegetarian. Actually this just sounded good. It is basically a baked eggplant. If you could see the cheese. The layers of cheese under there. It has got cheese. It has got tomato sauce.
The final stretch. The fourth course (dolce). Dessert. We ordered a slice of ricotta cheesecake to share.
We just got the bill and this is awesome because they brought us each I should say a limoncello shot. In terms of price point that came to 43 Euros.
This is part of our Travel in Italy video series showcasing Italian food, Italian culture and Italian cuisine.

BRAZIL BEACHES | Buzios Beach Resort - What's the coldest beach?
What I love most about Brazil: beaches! Buzios beach resort is a short road trip from Rio de Janeiro, just over 100 miles/160 km. In Buzios there are 23 beaches, very different from each other. In this vlog, I'll visit some of my favorites to try to find out if the water temperature really varies. The southside beaches receive the cold stream from Antarctica while the northside beaches receive the warm stream from the Equator.
All locations in this vlog:
0:40 - Geriba beach
4:08 - Ferradura beach
6:36 - Mirante do Forno
6:50 - Praia da Foca
7:19 - Mirante Joao Fernandes
9:54 - Joao Fernandes beach
11:42 - Armacao beach
12:01 - Ossos beach
12:19 - Azeda beach
14:14 - Porto da Barra, Manguinhos
To understand more about this beach resort, watch my first vlog in Buzios ►

More details about the main locations in this Brazil travel vlog:
► Buzios: The official name of the city is 'Armação dos Búzios', but everyone just refers to it as Búzios. This is a beach resort in the state of Rio de Janeiro and a popular getaway for Brazilians and Argentinians. Primarily an unknown fishing village until the 1960s, it was made famous by French actress Brigitte Bardot.
► Geriba beach: One of the most famous beaches of Buzios it runs for 2 kilometers (1.24 miles). With waves and an active ocean, it's perfect for surfing and wind sailing. It is surrounded by inns, bars, and restaurants and is a favorite of Brazilians.
► Ferradura beach: A modest beach with plenty to do. Calm waters entice families to spend the day and with plenty of stalls to service your hunger and thirst.
► Joao Fernandes beach: A beach with some of the calmest waters, it has easy access with plenty of accommodations on the surrounding hills. Any trip to Buzios should include a stop at this beach a 30-minute walking distance from town center.
► Porto da Barra: A complex of bars and restaurants on the shore perfectly situated to watch the sunset. Walk the jetty or stroll the beachside path and people watch closing out the day.

► WHO AM I?
I am a Brazilian journalist living in the United States. After traveling the world working with sports, news, and events for over 15 years, I realized that what I really love is the travel part of it all. So I exchanged the life in the newsrooms and stadiums for the daily challenge of being an independent content producer.
I created this channel to share the beauties of the world... stuff that for so long I only kept to myself. Also to help people planning similar trips and to inspire more people to venture out and enjoy life!
P.S.: The guy who occasionally appears in the vlogs is my husband, Gordon. He is Canadian-American and is extremely shy, that's why he's behind the camera most of the time ;-)
