Salzburg Vacation Travel Guide | Expedia
The Austrian city of Salzburg is situated on the northern edge of the Alps, close to the border of Germany. Surrounded by lakes and mountains, and straddling the banks of the Salzach River, few cities can match Salzburg’s fairytale setting.
Few places can match its musical heritage either. Salzburg is the hometown of Wolfgang Amadeus Mozart, and provided the settings for one of cinema’s most-adored musicals, The Sound Of Music.
Take the funicular to Hohensalzburg, one of Europe’s best-preserved medieval fortresses. Down below in the Old Town you’ll find Salzburg Cathedral and the Salzburg Museum. Nearby, wander along narrow Getreidegasse, one of the loveliest shopping streets in the world.
Just off the Old Market Square, savor 300 years of coffee-making tradition at Café Tomaselli. For classical Austrian fare served with a side of Opera, take the short walk to Stiftskeller St. Peter. At the Müllner Bräu Brewery, hang out with beer devotees from all over the world.
Salzburg has long been a city where inspiration knows no bounds, especially when it comes to its palaces. Just a short stroll from the Marionette Theater, the grandeur of Mirabell Palace and Gardens awaits. While on Salzburg’s southern outskirts, explore the playful water features at Hellbrunn Palace.
While Salzburg abounds with fountains, some of the city’s most impressive water features are its natural ones, such as Lake Wolfgang and Krimml Waterfall. For a waterfall with a difference, visit the spa town of Bad Gastein, whose falls roar straight through the heart of town. From the town, take the cable car to the summit of Stubnerkogel Mountain and walk Europe’s highest suspension bridge.
The Salzburg region is full of surprises, so before heading back to the city, head underground, into the Hallein Salt Mine. From its salt mines to its symphonies, from its fountains to its waterfalls, Salzburg plays out like a living opera, filled with drama, comedy, intrigue and passion.

7 Best Christmas holiday destinations in Europe.
1. Prague, the Czech Republic.
Time stands still in Prague during winter holidays. Tourists all over the world choose to have a magic Christmas enjoying all the wonders of this beautiful city.
A winter wonderland is unleashed within the street of Prague starting December. If you want to enjoy a memorable Christmas with your partner, try a romantic boat tour. You won't be disappointed.
2. Lapland, Finland.
There is no Christmas without Santa, everybody knows that. And where can you find Santa if not in his own house? The official hometown of Santa is Rovaniemi.
This destination is simply wonderful, and not just for children. If you want something new, you can sleep in an igloo hotel, or you can try fly fishing. You can also experience a husky safari, if you have enough money in your pocket.
For 2 hours you may spend almost 150 euro per adult.(100-110 euro for kids). Oh, and if you are lucky enough you may have the opportunity to see the northern lights.
3. Leipzig, Germany.
Considering that Germany is one of the most well known countries, especially when we talk about Christmas markets, it would be a pity not to be on your travel list. An option for spending Christmas in Germany could be Leipzig. Why Leipzig? Because beside the fact that it`s a city with an important cultural load, it has a stunning architecture and it is also great for kids. Nearly 250 stalls will offer you the best Christmas gifts for your loved ones and the tastiest traditional Christmas food will pick your nose (Pulsnitz gingerbread, reindeer sausage, fresh salmon, oven-fresh pretzels). Children will be fascinated by fairytale forest while you can indulge yourself with a mulled wine or a coffee in Europe's oldest coffee house, Coffe Baum.
4. Krakow, Poland.
If you want to make a white Christmas and be surrounded by cultural treasures, you can draw an X on the map near Krakow. Beside the old customs we all know that when it comes to spending Christmas, Poland has a specific tradition, unique and maybe a little bizarre.
Christmas cribs (locally known szopki) are a combination between a dollhouse, a gingerbread house and the nativity scene. Most of these miniatures look almost like Saint Mary`s Basilica. Starting with 1937, the city has decided to support this unique tradition by sponsoring a szopka competition. Every year the most interesting szopki will be sent to the Krakow History Museum.
5. Copenhagen, Denmark.
A cup of rich Danish hot chocolate and so many treats to choose from! Copenhagen could be a great choice for you and your family.
Let your kids wonder trough Tivoli's ‘Land of Elves' while you enjoy an Aebleskiver( traditional Danish pancakes balls filled with applesauce that are served usually during Advent).
6. Amsterdam, Netherlands.
The best part about spending Christmas holiday in Amsterdam is that museums and other tourist attractions are open and ready to share Dutch culture and history with you.
Here are some ideas on what you can do if you plan your Christmas in Amsterdam. The list includes witnessing the Amsterdam Light Festival, Classical music performances and ice skating throughout the city.
7. Rome, Italy.
Remember the old saying that “all roads lead to Rome” ? Leaving behind the real meaning of this statement, Rome would be an interesting destination to spend your winter holidays.
You can`t miss Piazza Navona and Campo de Fiori. Here you will find lots of Christmas stalls where you can buy souvenirs for your loved ones and candy.
Montreal Vacation Travel Guide | Expedia
Welcome to Montreal, Canada. This extraordinary city, which began life as a French colony in the 1600s, is now a stunning metropolis combining old-world architecture with modern dashes.
When Mark Twain visited Montreal in the 19th century, he was so taken by its many churches that he nicknamed it “The City of 100 Bell Towers.” These numerous buildings are often part of Montreal sightseeing; marvel at the imposing stone façade of Christ Church Cathedral, or stand beneath the great arched ceiling of the beautiful Notre Dame Basilica. You can spend days exploring the city’s many sacred spaces, but Montreal tourism is so much more than that; if you’re a foodie, you’re in luck, because the residents of Montreal adore a good meal, whether it’s poutine from a streetside bistro or fresh produce from the farmers market.
A tour of Montreal will take you across cobblestone streets and through architecture that dates back to the 1600s, but one thing you must remember to do is to walk and play in its numerous green spaces. The city’s inhabitants take great pride in Montreal’s natural beauty, and hikes up Mont Royal or along the St. Lawrence River are frequent activities for locals. Remember to bring your camera, as the riverfront and the mountain are full of striking photo opportunities.
What is your favorite part of Montreal?

// ABOUT ME //
A little bit about me - I'm a content creator on Instagram, YouTube, and on my blog at AudrieStorme.com living in Orange County, California (originally from the San Francisco Bay Area). I started posting outfit of the day (OOTD) photos on Instagram about two years ago when I was living in Dallas, Texas for work. I loved taking photos and posting on Instagram so much that I decided to expand and try out YouTube and blogging as well.
When I was living in the city, my personal style was a bit more streetwear 90's grunge, but now that I live in Southern California and closer to the ocean, my style has become a lot more cozy and comfortable with a lot of bohemian influences.
If I had to describe my fashion sense on my blog, Instagram aesthetic, and YouTube editing style now, I'd probably describe it as modern bohemian with an edge, since I tend to wear and do things that might be considered unconventional to others. I'm not sure if that is true, but since I've moved back to California, I just find that I gravitate to what is easiest and effortless for me while living near the beach where it always feels like summer.
Thank you so much for stopping by my YouTube channel and I hope that you enjoy what you'll find here! I love fashion, beauty (especially hair styling and bohemian braids), DIY projects and how to videos, making travel diaries of all the places that I'm lucky enough to visit, and sharing my (for lack of a better term) modern bohemian lifestyle. If you'd like to see more, please feel free to subscribe to my channel. Hope to see you in the comments below!
With love,
Audrie
Corfu Vacation Travel Video Guide • Great Destinations
Corfu is different from the other Greek islands. Instead of dreary, rocky terrain, one can find lush flora, pine trees, lemon and olive trees. This is the place where Odysseus met Nausicaa, Queen Elizabeth built a palace and where Gerald Durrell fell in love with nature. The capital was mainly built by Frenchmen during the reign of Napoleon, this is why it suggests a Mediterranean spirit, as if we were walking on the French Riviera. Near the capital, there is the symbol of the island, the Vlacherna monastery, standing in the water. Corfu is abound in natural beauties. Kassiopi is a charming fishing village, while Paleokastritsa is a place famous of its sea caverns. And finally there is the Channel of Love in Sidari, a channel formed by whimsical cliffs
