Le Mont-Saint-Michel is an island and mainland commune in Normandy, France. The island is located about one kilometer off the country's northwestern coast, at the mouth of the Couesnon River near Avranches and is 7 hectares in area. The mainland part of the commune is 393 hectares in area so that the total surface of the commune is 400 hectares .As of 2015, the island has a population of 50.The island has held strategic fortifications since ancient times and since the 8th century AD has been the seat of the monastery from which it draws its name. Planète Sauvage is a zoological park situated in the French Atlantic coast, in Port-Saint-Père near Nantes, in the Loire-Atlantique departement. Founded in 1992 by Monique and Dany Laurent and known as the Safari Africain until 1998, it was then operated by the Compagnie des Alpes between 2005 and 2015. Since that date the park has been the property of the multinational company Looping Group, whose main shareholder is a Belgian private equity fund of the Groupe Bruxelles Lambert. Its director is Philippe Vignaud. The park covers about 80 hectares of land, where almost 1,000 animals of about 150 species live, and is a blend of a safari portion visible by car and a pedestrian part which includes one of the three dolphinariums of metropolitan France, where bottlenose dolphins are presented....

10. Rochefort-en-terre Rochefort En Terre
Rochefort-en-Terre is a commune in the Morbihan department of Brittany in north-western France. Rochefort-en-Terre is a designated “Petite Cité de Caractére”. The medieval chateau located in the town was the home of American painter Alfred Klots. He purchased the chateau in the early 1900s and oversaw its restoration. His son Trafford Klots inherited the chateau and continued to paint there and entertain other visiting artists. After his death his wife donated the building to the French government. In the grounds of the building is the NAIA museum, named after an early twentieth century witch who lived in the town. It houses a small collection of fantasy and kinetic art and sculpture.

éénmaal per jaar proberen we een weekend weg te gaan zonder de kids. We kunnen dit ieder koppel aanraden. Het hoeft niet lang te zijn maar terug even tijd hebben voor elkaar.

Bretagne is het schiereiland van Frankrijk, de meest westelijk gelegen provincie. Het ligt ten zuiden van Normandië en ten noorden van de Pays de la Loire. De regio, die aan de noordkant aan Het Kanaal grenst en aan de zuidkant aan de Atlantische Oceaan, telt samen met haar omliggende eilanden meer dan 2500 km kust. Geologisch gezien maakt Bretagne deel uit van het Armoricaans massief, de oudste berggroep van Frankrijk. De kust van Bretagne is in het noorden en het westen ruig en wild, met meestal kleine stranden in baaien tussen de rotsen. De kliffen bij Cap Fréhel, dicht bij fort La Latte, duiken wel 70 meter diep de oceaan in. In het zuiden is de kust lieflijker en vindt men langere stranden.

Het leven gaat snel en daarom moeten we proberen zoveel mogelijk fun te hebben. Als gezin met 3 kinderen weten we maar al te goed dat het niet steeds simpel is om iedere dag als een dartelend veulen rond te springen. Er zijn zeker lastige dagen, kinderen die wenen, ziek zijn, drukke agenda's, enz... Maar te tijd vliegt zo snel dat we zeker niet mogen vergeten om fun te hebben. Voor we het weten zijn de kinderen het huis uit. We proberen met ons kanaal een inspiratie te zijn voor gezinnen met kinderen. Leuke uitstapjes en ideeën willen we met jullie delen.
