I'M ON A QUEST: For culture cuisine, and connection — in every country in the world. For over ten years I've been riding around the world alone on my motorcycle. I'm not going to stop until I've ridden through every country in the world.
WorldRider TV is my YouTube Channel that captures the raw essence of solo travel around the world on a motorcycle. Some videos are raw and rough while others are edited and produced. Everything is real and authentic. I'm not out to ride the toughest roads, climb the highest mountains, search for ghosts, or solve mysteries.
I am out to meet the beautiful people of this world, to try to understand their culture, and learn about their history. All along enjoying good food, drink, and laughs. We all share much more in common that we have differences. I'm blown away by the kindness of strangers and how many times I've been brought into the homes and families of people everywhere.

It all started on July 4th—symbolic for freedom and independence in my home country, USA. I set off alone on my trusty BMW F650GS Dakar motorcycle to travel the world. I didn't know exactly where I'd go or how long it would take. After three years traveling through thirty-five countries and five continents I returned home in California and wrote the book that documented that adventure in stories, photos, and recipes: FORKS: A QUEST FOR CULTURE, CUSINE, AND CONNECTION.
Then came a one-year cross country book tour in his legendary FORKS Van”, then a television show on THE COOKING CHANNEL, inspirational speaking gigs, and much more. All along I continue to ride the world months at a time, returning home to work and save for the next segment—always leaving my motorcycle in some garage somewhere around the world.

This WorldRider TV Episode #65 After gazing upon the beautiful gorge, we continue climbing higher up the mountain. We must be careful as we share the narrow road with locals walking down the hill. We pass a small vineyard next to a house with a blanket of ivy covering its roof. It’s quiet save the occasional sound of a tractor and the fall colors or yellow and rust paint a quaint picture as we continue to climb.Approaching another vineyard on one side of the road, this one with newly planted vines, we pass a small graveyard where old photos grace the tombstones on the other side. We pass small farms with fields planted in tomatoes squash, and other vegetables. There are several, abandon houses where the windows have no glass, and rotting wood doors hang precariously.We stop the car near where the hill crests. Gnarly wild vines climb up the hill behind and tumble down the hill in front. We hike down. Predrag figures the vines are all between fifty and one-hundred years old. It’s steep and south facing. The soil is stony and porous. Behind us, way above the vineyard shapely karst rocks line the ridge. Thanks for watching!

Vojvodina (english subtitles)
In Vojvodina, and along the Danube, during the period of settlement of this area (about 300 years ago when these territories were under Austro-Hungarian rule) settlements were created that were populated with a variety of ethnic groups from all over Europe. These settlements were intended to serve as the defensive bulwark of Christian Europe from the growing ambitions of the Ottoman Empire. Thus today we have villages in Vojvodina inhabited by Hungarians, Bunjevci, Šokci, Serbs from all over the Balkans, Slovaks, Romanians, Danube Swabians, Macedonians, Roma, Catholic Banat Bulgarians, Szekely Hungarians and others. Nowhere in Europe is there a region like this, where more than 25 different ethnic groups have been living together for nearly three centuries. People in these villages carefully guard their customs and traditions, cuisine and music, and so this unique piece of Europe's cultural heritage is an important part of Serbia's tourist programme. In the past year, much hard work has been done on polishing the tourist offering and raising the quality of tourist services in those villages that are best prepared for promotion as tourist destinations. In familiarizing themselves with the culture and traditions of these diverse ethnic communities, guests will visit and discover the other treasures of Vojvodina. Programs can last from a few hours up to 7 to 10 days, not only encompassing Vojvodina, but also other places in Serbia. The video clip that we have prepared will give you the chance to see just part of this programme and get a better picture of our wealth of diversity.
#100 - Golubac, Serbia - Đerdap Tour 4/4 (08/2013)
All good things come to end and so does the best ride of Season 2013! And what an end. A long, long slight, almost flat descent through the valley, surrounded by forest, on a magnificent terrain, with no rocks and all the space you need. With constant breathtaking scenery and virtually all alone. Choosing the riding style you prefer. Absolutely amazing. The best riding part of the entire Đerdap Tour. This one is really for the soul.
But still nothing can prepare you for the beauty of Dobra village and the Danube. You just won't believe the sight. And after a short break that you won't even notice, I'll take you along the Danube, into the sunset, for a memorable experience. Even better, the road is part of Euro Velo 6 cycling route, so the drivers are used to cyclists. Very highly recommended for a visit.
Special greeting goes to people who log and upload/share their treks so other can discover and enjoy the beauty, but also the adrenaline. We did miss a bit the original trek we were supposed to follow, but it was great to have some idea of where to go and what to expect. Sadly, I do not have the hardware needed to log my own rides, but some day...
