    Southern Prairie Railway is a tourist railway operated by the Ogema Heritage Railway Association in Ogema, Saskatchewan. Southern Prairie Railway offers train tours that travel from Ogema to Pangman, Saskatchewan and Horizon, Saskatchewan. The tours operate on weekends from May to October. Chartered trips are also available. The centrepiece of their operation is a fully restored 1912 CP Rail train station.     Alberta Prairie Railway Excursions is a heritage railway originating in Stettler, Alberta. The train runs between Stettler and Big Valley. The trips last five to six hours, with a stopover . Many trains are pulled by the number 41, a 1920 Baldwin 2-8-0 steam locomotive, formerly Mississippian Railway number 77, and sometimes by CN U-1-f 4-8-2 number 6060. On days when the steamers are not running, the railroad operates diesel switcher SW-1200 number 1259 and GMD GMD1 number 1118. Until the end of the railroad's 1999 season, it also operated on the 60-mile route to Coronation, Alberta, which is now abandoned.

It formerly also had a branch line to Wawa, Ontario The area served by the railway is sparsely populated, with few roads. The railway is well known for its Agawa Canyon tour train and also provides passenger train service along its entire route to canoeists, snowmobilers, cottagers and tourists accessing this wilderness recreation region. The railway connects at its northernmost point with the Ontario Northland Railway and with CN's eastern division to the south. It also intersects with the Canadian Pacific Railway at Franz, ON and with the Huron Central Railway at its southernmost point in the Sault.
