La Carolina Lodge, Bijagua, Costa Rica
La Carolina lodge is a peaceful oasis near the Tenorio Volcano in Costa Rica. Most of the food and drinks are from the farm and are included in the price. A small river flows by the lodge and the wood fired hot tube. Daily horseback rides are also included. Hiking nearby to see sloths, frogs, etc. Outings to a cocoa, vanilla, Macadamia nut farm, Rio Celeste, and hot springs. This is a wonderful getaway, and a great place to relax and recharge.

Rio Celeste is one of our favorite places in Costa Rica. The sky blue river is in Tenorio Volcano National Park and makes for a great day trip from Guanacaste and La Fortuna. The hike is not that long and you get to see the beautiful waterfall and blue river. Definitely a must see in Costa Rica!
