Crater Lake National Park, Oregon, USA in 4K (Ultra HD)
Crater Lake is a stunningly beautiful lake, formed in volcano caldera, after the volcano collapsed 7,700 years ago. The lake is deep almost 2000 ft/600 m, it is 5 mi/8 km across its shorter side, a little more on the longer one.
Enjoy views of the lake with its incredible blue color from a boat, from the top of Wizard Island, the Rim Trail and the surrounding peaks - Mt Scott, Garfield Peak and the Watchman.
Recorded August 2016 in 4K (Ultra HD) with Sony AX100.

Spring Creek Campground is a nice place to go camping ... if you are able to get a spot :) There are only 4 designated sites which I am sure fill up quick. We came through on a Sunday evening and there were 2 spots available. Each site has a table, firepit, and there is a vault toilet. I'm not sure what the fence around it is for but it gives the area a ranch type of environment. Its a nice place to stay and I wish we could have stayed longer.

Crescent City to Brookings, US 101 California - Oregon
Check out the (somewhat rainy) drive up the California/Oregon coast, from Crescent City's Walmart, into Oregon, through Brookings, ending at Harris Beach State Park wayside.

I made this trip in August, 2015. Video shot with a Brinno TLC-200 Pro time-lapse camera, mounted on my roof with a homemade magnetic case. I travel with two Brinno cameras - one facing forward, the other in reverse. Sometimes the reverse camera captures better video (fewer raindrops and bugs hit the rear-view lens).

I-5 to Crater Lake, Part 3: Oregon Route 62 to South Entrance
This drive finishes up the three-part series of videos, taking you from I-5 at Roseburg to the south entrance of Crater Lake National Park. This drive starts at Trail, Oregon, at the junction of 62 and 227, and follows 62 northeast to the south entrance of the park.
Yes, it would have been quicker to drive from Roseburg to the North Entrance, but it was closed due to a wildfire. You'll notice the smoke (and some roadblocks) along the way.
