Oregon Painted Hills in Less Than Three Minutes - Mitchell, OR
Quick look at the beautiful scenery, wonderful colors, Painted Hills State Park in Central Oregon. A day with my oldest daughter ... I'm so glad it worked out. Four and a half hours there, and four and a half hours back, lots of sunshine, lots of visiting, a dream fulfilled!

Q&A:
Q: Do you live full-time in the camper?
A: Yes, 24/7, year round, winter, spring, summer and fall.
Q: How big is your camper?
A: It is an 11'6 floor plan and that does not include the upper bed area.
Q: Do you have a home for when you are not traveling or did you sell a house to travel?
A: Yes, we own a home that sits on an acre+ of land in Washington state. No we did not sell it to travel, we are keeping it for an investment / retirement property. We rent 3 of the bedrooms out and keep one room for our belongs. We stay in our camper on the back part of the property when not traveling, this way we don't have to lug our personal items between the house and camper, it just works for us.
Q: Are you wealthy or do you have to work for a living?
A: No, we are not wealthy and yes we will have to start working again once our travel funds get to a point that is no longer comfortable for us. Currently, Scott still works as a district field supervisor for a construction company, which allows us to travel to different areas of Washington state while he is working on a project and I (Teri) am self-employed and run two on-line stores that help add funds to the budget. Once Scott leaves his job in October and we head out of Washington State to travel cross country, we will be using our travel savings that we have been saving up for a while now and it should allow us to travel for sometime. During our travels we will be focusing on other income sources, either through work camper affiliates or building up the two online businesses, and possibly building a Patreon channel and adding Amazon and other company affiliate links to our YouTube channel and website. We also have plans to sign up for the Beet Harvest in the fall of 2018 and we have made a great contact for working in Colorado for a season. Scott is best known for his construction skills, but is really a jack of all trades, he has been working since he was old enough to flip newspaper and mow lawns and I am an entrepreneur at heart, but a cake decorator by trade and I have a few years experience in the medical records field. We have no problem working hard and there is a lot of work out there on the road, you just have to do your research and be willing to work hard.
Q: Is it hard for either one of you to be in a small space?
A: No, we lived in a 24' travel trailer for one year w/two teenagers while building our home and at the beginning of our marriage we lived aboard a 30' boat with less living / floor space than our camper, so small spaces don't bother us. Plus, we have a reallly big back yard to play in, it called nature.
Q: Being together all the time in a small space, do you ever argue or get tired of each others company?
A: Argue??? Yes, of course we argue, we have been married over 30 years, and one of us doesn't always follow directions very well and has acquired a selective hearing disorder, can you guess which one of us that is? lol! Do we get tired of each other? NO, we never get tired of each other... ok, just maybe, once in a while one of us would like to lock the other one out of the camper, lol, just kidding, well, sort of hehehe!!! No, we are the best of best friends and have been from the very start. When we lived in the house we sat in the same room to watch TV and slept in the same room together and never got tired of each other and it's not any different in a camper just a little smaller. I guess you could say we are very blessed with our relationship and marriage, plus I will add... it's not always a bad thing having to brush by your partner to get to the other end of the camper... if you know what I mean!!! wink, wink :)
Q: Do you have a travel budget?
A: Yes, right down to TP and toothpaste, lol! Our travel budget, not in this order, includes things such a yearly tabs, all insurances, car washes, laundry, gas, diesel, food, personal items, truck maintenance, camper repairs, dog items (Ire loves her toys and I love to buy them for her) entertainment, campgrounds, water, dumpsites, yearly park passes, the list is very very long, anything and everything you can think of we have budgeted for. We have been planning our year long cross county trip for a while now and we know things can arise and change suddenly so we are prepared to rearrange the budget to fit our needs, locations and travel time.
Thanks for stopping by and have a Great Day!!!
Scott and Teri

Excellent commentary by a guy who's rifle scope got smacked into the mud and rocks the day before when packing out another bull and was barrel sighted in 10 minutes.
