Cassacco is a comune in the Province of Udine in the Italian region Friuli-Venezia Giulia, located about 80 kilometres northwest of Trieste and about 12 kilometres northwest of Udine. As of 31 December 2004, it had a population of 2,880 and an area of 11.6 square kilometres .The municipality of Cassacco contains the frazioni Conoglano, Martinazzo, Raspano, and Montegnacco. Cassacco borders the following municipalities: Colloredo di Monte Albano, Magnano in Riviera, Tarcento, Treppo Grande, Tricesimo.

1. Basilica di Aquileia Aquileia
Aquileia is an ancient Roman city in Italy, at the head of the Adriatic at the edge of the lagoons, about 10 kilometres from the sea, on the river Natiso , the course of which has changed somewhat since Roman times. Today, the city is small , but it was large and prominent in Antiquity as one of the world's largest cities with a population of 100,000 in the 2nd century AD. and is one of the main archeological sites of Northern Italy.

We drove to Austria from Venzone for dinner too where the food is good and the portions are big and the cost is less but the White balance could not be corrected by me. Venzonevo was fun and like a big reenactment. Try the Brule and yes, Italy has their own bagpipes.
