The lake was formed around the year 1100 following a large landslide that blocked the course of the river Rì Sec, which is currently the main tributary of the lake. In the southern portion of the lake there is a small island. The level of the lake varies over the years depending on the flow rate of the tributaries. Toblino lake and its Castle are located near Trento (Italy). Il lago di Toblino col suo Castello si trova lungo la statale che collega Trento a Riva del Garda. Sulla riva destra c'è un bel sentiero che lo percorre lungo tutta la sua lunghezza....peccato che troppo spesso il sentiero si trovi a stretto contatto con la strada statale e quindi non permetta una completa immersione nel bellissimo ambiente naturale circostante.
