Paris (English /ˈpærɪs/, Listeni/ˈpɛrɪs/; French: [paʁi] ( listen)) is the capital and most populous city of France. It is situated on the River Seine, in the north of the country, at the heart of the Île-de-France region. Within its administrative limits (the 20 arrondissements), the city had 2,234,105 inhabitants in 2009 while its metropolitan area is one of the largest population centres in Europe with more than 12 million inhabitants.
An important settlement for more than two millennia, by the late 12th century Paris had become a walled cathedral city that was one of Europe's foremost centres of learning and the arts and the largest city in the Western world until the turn of the 18th century. Paris was the focal point for many important political events throughout its history, including the French Revolution. Today it is one of the world's leading business and cultural centres, and its influence in politics, education, entertainment, media, science, fashion and the arts all contribute to its status as one of the world's major cities. Long regarded as an international centre for the arts, works by history's most famous painters can be found in the Louvre, the Musée d'Orsay and its many other museums and galleries. Paris is a global hub of fashion and has been referred to as the international capital of style, noted for its haute couture tailoring, its high-end boutiques, and the twice-yearly Paris Fashion Week. Gorges de la vallée du Todgha : À 15 km du centre de Tinghir, porte d’entrée du Haut Atlas, se trouve les colossales gorges dans la vallée du Todgha. Ces hautes falaises de calcaire s’élèvent à 300 mètres du sol et culminent à 2500 mètres d’altitude. Certaines d’entre elles n’ont encore jamais été escaladées.
Depuis des millénaires, l’oued Todgha a sculpté les falaises dont la roche se pare de multiples couleurs au gré du soleil.
Merzouga : Merzouga est un petit village saharien situé dans le sud-est du Maroc, à 35 kilomètres de Rissano et à 50 kilomètres de Erfoud. Merzouga est réputée pour ses dunes, les plus hautes du Maroc.
Elle est devenue un pôle d’attraction touristique de première importance pour cette région.
Paradise Valley : Sur la route d’Imouzzer en partant d’Agadir, à 25 km d’Aourir, se trouve un petit parking.
C’est de là où débute l’aventure vers la Paradise Valley. Des montagnes, une forêt et des fleuves entourent cet endroit magnifique. Il est composé de trois grandes cascades avec leurs immenses piscines naturelles à l’eau turquoise.
Aït-ben-Haddou : Aït-ben-Haddou est un Ksar du Maroc au patrimoine mondial de l’UNESCO, dans la province de Ouerzazate. Celle-ci est située dans la vallée de Ounila, au sud de Tafilalt.
Flux du Ziz : La source du flux du Ziz se trouve dans le Haut Atlas oriental. Bien qu’il soit intermittent le long de son lit, son cours d’eau a longtemps été utilisé pour faciliter le transit humain à travers cette région montagneuse.
Gorges du Dadès : Les gorges du Dadès sont situées dans la haute vallée du Dadès ; c’est une destination touristique très fréquentée.
Puits de visite de Khettaras près de Arfoud :Un qanat est un système d’irrigation souterrain permettant de récolter les eaux d’infiltrations.
C’est un des vestiges les plus anciens au Maroc.
Akchour : Akchour est un petit village du Maroc, à 30 Km de Chefchaouen sur la route de Oued Laou.
Cascades d’Ouzoud : Les cascades d’Ouzoud sont des chutes d’eau d’environ 110 m de haut. Elles sont disposées sur trois paliers, sur l’Oued Ouzoud, à 1060 mètres d’altitude dans le moyen Atlas.
Le barrage de Bin el Ouidane : Le barrage de Bin el Ouidane est situé dans la province d’Azilal, conçu par l’ingénieur André Coyne.

The Sainte-Chapelle is a royal chapel in the Gothic style, within the medieval Palais de la Cité, the residence of the Kings of France until the 14th century, on the Île de la Cité in the heart of Paris, France.
Begun some time after 1238 and consecrated on 26 April 1248, the Sainte-Chapelle is considered among the highest achievements of the Rayonnant period of Gothic architecture.
It was commissioned by King Louis IX of France to house his collection of Passion relics, including Christ's Crown of Thorns - one of the most important relics in medieval Christendom.
Along with the Conciergerie, the Sainte-Chapelle is one of the earliest surviving buildings of the Capetian royal palace on the Île de la Cité.
The contemporary visitor entering the courtyard of the Royal Palace would have been met by the sight of a grand ceremonial staircase to their right and the north flank and eastern apse of the Sainte-Chapelle to their left.
The chapel exterior shows many of the typical characteristics of Rayonnant architecture - deep buttresses surmounted by pinnacles, crocketted gables around the roof-line and vast windows subdivided by bar tracery.
The internal division into upper and lower chapels is clearly marked on the outside by a string-course, the lower walls pierced by smaller windows with a distinctive spherical triangle shape.
The Parisian palatine chapel, built to house a reliquary, was itself like a precious reliquary turned inside out.
The quatrefoils of the dado arcade were painted with scenes of saints and martyrs and inset with painted and gilded glass, emulating Limoges enamels, while rich textiles hangings added to the richness of the interior.
Above the dado level, mounted on the clustered shafts that separate the great windows, are 12 larger-than-life-sized sculpted stone figures representing the 12 Apostles (six of these are replicas - the damaged originals are now in the Musée du Moyen Age).
The most famous features of the chapel, among the finest of their type in the world, are the great stained glass windows, for whose benefit the stone wall surface is reduced to little more than a delicate framework.
Fifteen huge mid-13th-century windows fill the nave and apse, while a large rose window with Flamboyant tracery dominates the western wall.
Although damaged during the French Revolution, and restored in the 19th century, it has one of the most extensive 13th-century stained glass collections anywhere in the world.

Greetings from Madrid, Spain. Hello hello. And this is a city we visited 2.5 years ago in the summer. We're back with my parents this time and we're going to be here for just a few days making a little travel guide and we hope you guys will join along. This one is going to be a little bit different because last time we were in Madrid we ran around like crazy. We're going to take it easy focus on the highlights. Focus on food. Delicious Spanish food. We hope you guys will enjoy our little tour of Madrid.
The armoury turned out to be a real highlight with weapons and armour dating back from the 16th and 17th centuries.
We caught a glimpse at the Almudena Cathedral and continued towards the Sabatini Gardens, which are located directly behind the palace.
After lunch, we visited the Temple of Debod. This is ancient Egyptian temple that was given to Spain as a sign of gratitude for their help in saving the Abu Simbel temples. It dates back to the 2nd century BC and it’s one of the few works of ancient Egyptian architecture that can be seen outside of Egypt.
Plaza Mayor is the main square in Madrid. It is lined with shops and cafes under its porticoes. It was just a skip over to one of the most popular food markets with visitors.
Buen Retiro is a large park located at the edge of the city centre. It belonged to the Spanish Monarchy until the late 19th century, when it became a public park, and it’s home to various gardens, sculptures, monuments and small palaces
One of the most iconic buildings found within the park is the Crystal Palace, made of glass and iron, which is used for art exhibits throughout the year.
This cafe will make you feel like you’ve been transported back to the late nineteenth century. The walls are covered in mirrors and wood panelling, the tables are of white marble, the chairs and banquettes are deep green in colour.
Last but not least, we finished off our visit with an evening stroll through Madrid, and that pretty much wraps our trip! The city clearly has much more to offer than we were able to cover in just 3 days, but we hope this Madrid travel guide gave you a few ideas of what you can do with a short break in the city. Carcassonne, a hilltop town in southern France’s Languedoc area, is famous for its medieval citadel, La Cité, with numerous watchtowers and double-walled fortifications. The first walls were built in Gallo-Roman times, with major additions made in the 13th and 14th centuries. Château Comtal, a 12th-century castle within the Cité, offers archaeological exhibits and a tour of the inner ramparts.
Carcassonne is a fortified French town in the Aude department, of which it is the prefecture, in the Region of Occitanie. Carcassonne is famous for the Cité de Carcassonne, a medieval fortress restored by the theorist and architect Eugène Viollet-le-Duc in 1853 and added to the UNESCO list of World Heritage Sites in 1997. Consequently, Carcassonne relies heavily on tourism but also counts manufacture and wine-making as some of its other key economic sectors.
Carcassonne was demilitarised under Napoleon and the Restoration, and the fortified cité of Carcassonne fell into such disrepair that the French government decided that it should be demolished. A decree to that effect that was made official in 1849 caused an uproar. The antiquary and mayor of Carcassonne, Jean-Pierre Cros-Mayrevieille, and the writer Prosper Mérimée, the first inspector of ancient monuments, led a campaign to preserve the fortress as a historical monument. Later in the year the architect Eugène Viollet-le-Duc, already at work restoring the Basilica of Saint-Nazaire, was commissioned to renovate the place.
In 1853, work began with the west and southwest walls, followed by the towers of the porte Narbonnaise and the principal entrance to the cité. The fortifications were consolidated here and there, but the chief attention was paid to restoring the roofing of the towers and the ramparts, where Viollet-le-Duc ordered the destruction of structures that had encroached against the walls, some of them of considerable age. Viollet-le-Duc left copious notes and drawings on his death in 1879, when his pupil Paul Boeswillwald and, later, the architect Nodet continued the rehabilitation of Carcassonne.
Another bridge, Pont Marengo, crosses the Canal du Midi and provides access to the railway station. Lac de la Cavayère has been created as a recreational lake and is about five minutes from the city centre. Further sights include: Basilica of St. Nazaire and St. Celse , Carcassonne Cathedral , Church of St. Vincent .

Head to the Montreal Museum of Fine Arts for a look at some of the free current exhibitions. We're here at Park Mount Royal to walk around and head to the lookout point for amazing city views. We chose to stay in the neighborhood of Le Plateau-Mont Royal. On Sunday afternoons you'll find a huge drumming circle on the east end of Mount Royal called Tam Tams. McGill University is one of the most prestigious universities in all of Canada. Poutine, a French Canadian dish, it is basically french fries with gravy and cheese curds on top. For a taste of French charm, wander down the cobbled streets of Old Montreal. Tonight we're at the Cirque du Soleil for a circus performance. The biodome is a popular attraction for families with children. Olympic Stadium is the former home of the Montreal Expos. The botanical gardens are home to beautiful gardens. Bell Center is home to the Montreal Canadiens, one of the most celebrated NHL franchises. There is no better place ot eat smoked meat in Montreal than Schwartz. The Notre Dame Basilica is located in the historic district of Old Montreal. If you enjoy checking out graffiti around Saint Catherine street which is also a shopping district. Eat St. Viateur bagels, which are really famous here in Montreal. A great way to get around the city is by Bixi bike. Montreal's Old Port is worth a wander.
