The first sun rays after winter invite you to cook and eat outdoors. Yet it is no longer just the sunshine or sunset that accompanies pleasant barbecue evenings. In the meantime, barbecue sessions have become a year-round entertainment as the barbecue fun has become so popular. Gas grills play an important role in outdoor cooking – their motto is “Enjoy yourself and relax with the right technology”.

In his Friday Sermon, Huzoor(aba) said that people spend their wealth for various purposes in this world. Today, there is only one community who is spending their wealth for one religious goal throughout the world. This is the community of the Promised Messiah(as) who is spending its wealth for the sake of Islam. The reason is that the Promised Messiah(as) gave his community the true understanding of financial sacrifices in the way of Allah. The Promised Messiah(as) at one point stated that I urge you again and again to sacrifice your wealth. This is per the commandment of Allah. Islam at this time is oppressed and being attacked. When such is the case, should we not make efforts for the sake of Islam? This is the reason that Allah established this Jama’at. It is the promise of Allah that whosoever sacrifices his wealth, Allah will bless him greatly in the world and he will see his reward in the hereafter. Huzoor(aba) said that surely the companions of the Promised Messiah(as) understood the concept of financial sacrifices and have been mentioned various times by the Promised Messiah(as). And it is astonishing to see how the new comers are also sacrificing greatly in this way. They are following this teaching of the Holy Quran that these are such people who spend their wealth to attain the pleasure of Allah. Huzoor(aba) said that the sacrifices of poor people bring great fruits for Jama’at and the world is left astounded how we are able to achieve so much with such limited resources. If the purpose is to achieve the pleasure of God, then the blessings are plenty as well. Huzoor(aba) presented various examples and incidents of financial sacrifices of Ahmadis of various countries that how Ahmadis are reaping the blessings of Allah through financial sacrifices. Huzoor(aba) said that we are seeing every day that Allah is granting new people to the community of the Promised Messiah(as) who are increasing in financial sacrifices. This is also a moment of reflection for those Ahmadis who, despite being prosperous and living in developed countries, do not actively participate in financial sacrifices. Huzoor(aba) said that such people should present financial sacrifices and should seek to increase them. Then Huzoor(aba) said that as per usual custom, today I’m announcing the 60th year of Waqf-e-Jadid. The total income of this year was 8 million, 20 thousand pounds which was 12 thousand more than the previous year. Pakistan held its first position, followed by UK, Germany, America, Canada, India, Australia, a Middle-Eastern Jama’at, Indonesia, another Middle-Eastern Jama’at and Ghana at the 10th position. A total of 1,340,000 participated in Waqf-e-Jadid which was 105,000 more than the previous year. Huzoor(aba) prayed that may Allah accept the sacrifices of all Ahmadis and may he enable us and all Ahmadis to further increase in our financial sacrifices in the way of Allah. Ameen. At the end, Huzoor(aba) announced the funeral prayer in absentia of 2 individuals. Mukarramah Asma Tahira Sahiba of Canada Jama’at who was an Aunt of Hazrat Khalifatul-Masih V(aba) and Mukarram Chaudhry Hameed Nasrullah Khan Sahib of Lahore, Pakistan, who served Jama’at in various capacities for an extensive period. Huzoor(aba) mentioned a few of their many admirable qualities.
