The SkiArena Andermatt-Sedrun is a ski area located in Andermatt, Sedrun, and Oberalp in Switzerland. It has 16 ski lifts and approximately 30 runs, and just over 100 km of pistes. The ski area covers five separate mountains: Gemsstock Nätschen Sedrun / Oberalp Realp Valtgeva It previously included Winterhorn, in Hospental, which was abandoned in 2007. Train services are vital in this resort as they are the only means of transport available to travel from Andermatt to Oberalp, Dieni, and Sedrun. Between Andermatt, Hospental, and Realp can be journeyed by car as well as the railway.

The Trümmelbach Falls in Switzerland are a series of ten glacier-fed waterfalls inside the mountain made accessible by a tunnel-funicular, built 1913, stairs, and illumination. Located in the Lauterbrunnen Valley, the creek called Trümmelbach alone drains the glacier defiles of Eiger , Mönch , and Jungfrau and carries more than 20,000 tons of boulder detritus per year.Its drainage area is 24 square kilometres , half of it covered by snow and glaciers. Lake Brienz is a lake just north of the Alps, in the canton of Berne in Switzerland. It has a length of about 14 kilometres , a width of 2.8 kilometres and a maximum depth of 260 metres . Its area is 29.8 square kilometres , and the surface is 564 metres above the sea-level. It is fed, among others, by the upper reaches of the Aare at its eastern end, the Giessbach at its southern shore from steep, forested and rocky hills of the high Faulhorn and Schwarzhoren more than 2,000 metres above the lake, and by the Lütschine, flowing from the valleys of Grindelwald and Lauterbrunnen, at its south-western corner. The Staubbach Fall is a waterfall in Switzerland, located just west above Lauterbrunnen in the Bernese Highlands. The waterfall drops 297 metres from a hanging valley that ends in overhanging cliffs above the Weisse Lütschine.The stream, on reaching the verge of the rocky walls of the valley, forms a cascade so high that it is almost lost in spray before it reaches the level of the valley. After rain, and early in the season when fed by the melting snows, the Staubbach Fall is a very striking object. The force of the stream above the fall at such times is sufficient to carry the water clear of the precipice, and the whole mass descends in a condition of liquid dust, between spray and cloud, that sways to-and-fro with the gentlest breeze. A former bolt hole for royalty and aristocracy, the town of Andermatt is being transformed into an attractive year-round destination in the Swiss Alps, combining fantastic skiing for all levels and an 18-hole PGA standard golf course.

With easy access from Zurich and Milan, Andermatt Swiss Alps will be an exclusive resort for all seasons. This CHF 2 billion project will comprise of six hotels, including the 5-star deluxe The Chedi Andermatt, which opened in December 2013; 490 apartments in 42 buildings; 25 bespoke chalets; wellness & leisure amenities, conference facilities, a par 72 championship golf course and renewal and enlargement of the SkiArena to include 85 pistes, 25 lifts and more than 120 km of pistes making it the largest ski resort in central Switzerland. Plans for upgrading and merging the ski areas of Andermatt and Sedrun have now been fully approved by the Swiss Federal Office of Transport. This is the first time that such a comprehensive project of this scale has been approved in Switzerland.

The golf course will be open to all Andermatt Swiss Alps property owners and hotel guests staying in the Andermatt region on a pay-and-play basis as of 2014 and will open to the public in 2016. Other activites include cycling, hiking, climbing, paragliding and many more activities.
