Telfes is a village in the district Innsbruck Land in the Austrian state of Tyrol. It is situated in the Stubaital 11 km south of Innsbruck. The municipality consists of the districts Telfes, Gagers, Kapfers, Plöven and Luimes. The area is about 27.83 km², and it is situated 987 m above sea level. The coat of arms shows a lynx.

A mountain coaster or alpine coaster is a type of roller coaster with bobsled-like cars on tracks installed on a mountain. It is similar to alpine slides where a low-wheeled sled is used to navigate the track, but instead of running over smooth concave tracks like the alpine slide, alpine coasters run on rails with up-stop wheels like traditional roller coasters. Thus, an alpine coaster isn't necessarily safer due to the jerky movements the cart makes as it navigates its way on a fixed track. Alpine coasters are undoubtedly slower than an alpine slide since alpine coasters have speed regulated carts that prevent a rider from experiencing the track at full speed. This is a single-pipe alpine coaster in Mieders, Austria. You reach the summit via a cablecar and then sit on a small car with a brake lever and off you go. Having ridden it once using a little braking, I decided to try it a second time without using the brakes. This is SCARY! Enjoy the ride!

The Stubaitalbahn, in Tirol, Austria, is one of the coolest and most beautiful trains in the world. It is technically a street car (tram) that carries passengers from the city of Innsbruck to the towns of Natters, Mutters, and the Stubai Valley. Children in these areas use it as their school bus to reach schools throughout Innsbruck. It is also an attraction that should not be missed during any visit to Tirol, Austria. In combination with the S-Bahn Tirol and Regio bus the Austrian Alps are accessible with public transportation provided by the VVT (Verkehrsverbund Tirol)
