Italy's Most Beautiful Road - Strada Della Forra SP38 - Lake Garda
Tremosine Sul Garda, off the SS45 and the Strada Della Forra, SP38, offer extraordinary driving opportunities, with picturesque views and stunning panoramas. Along the shoreline and also high above Largo Di Garda, narrow winding roads and tunnels cut through the jagged rock. The stone walls finely decorated with green lichens and ferns. A stone walled stream runs alongside the road. Simply beautiful. I've added names and the GPS coordinates of the key places throughout and at the end. There is also a great restaurant (La Forra) in the video at the end that i visited. You will also find a map depicting the entire length of the SP38 which i recommend riding in its entirety. I hope you get to enjoy it one day. The approach road can be busy but this is to be expected and provides great fun watching the life, if your not in a rush.

Strada della Forra is one of the most scenic drives in the world. This Italian road burrows its way through the mountain in the ravine formed by the river Brasa. A small car with functioning horn is recommended. For the skilled drivers only.
This legendary road is located in the province of Brescia, in Lombardy, on the shore of Lake Garda, in Italy. It links Tremosine with the districts of Pieve and Vesio. It’s a real gem, nestled in the depths of the mountain, along the rift carved by the river Brasa. Avalanches and landslides can occur anytime and can sometimes block some sections of the road.The road, officially known as SP38 was inaugurated in 1913. A small car with functioning horn is recommended. Winston Churchill defined it as the eighth wonder of the world. The road still remains an adrenaline-pumping journey and is definitely not for the faint of lungs, heart, or legs. A quick glance at the map, at its sheer drops and serpentine twists and turns, confirms that this is no hype. For the skilled drivers only. Quite challenging but definitely worth it.
It was also set for a little part of James Bond movie “Quantum of Solace”.

SUBSCRIBE: - Let's visit the spectacular Lake Garda which is the largest lake in Italy. It is a popular holiday location and is located in northern Italy, about halfway between Brescia and Verona, and between Venezia and Milano. Glaciers formed this alpine region at the end of the last Ice Age. The lake and its shoreline are divided between the provinces of Verona (to the south-east), Brescia (south-west), and Trentino (north). The name Garda, which the lake has been seen referred to in documents dating to the eighth century, comes from the town of the same name. It is the evolution of the Germanic word warda, meaning place of guard or place of observation.
We will visit Riva del Garda which is located at the north-western corner of Lake Garda, approximately 70 metres (230 feet) above sea level. The town is located at the southern edge of the Italian Alps, near the Dolomites. It is bordered by Monte Rocchetta to the west and Monte Brione, 376 metres (1,234 ft) above sea level, to the east. East of Riva del Garda is the village Torbole, bordered by Monte Baldo.
Riva del Garda belonged to the Republic of Venice, the Bishopric of Trent, the Napoleonic Kingdom of Italy and later (1815–1918) to the Austro-Hungarian empire. During the Third Italian War of Independence, Riva del Garda was an important supply base for the Austrian navy and was only town on the lake to be taken by Italian forces. Since the end of World War I (3 November 1918), Riva del Garda, with the rest of the Trentino, became part of the Kingdom of Italy.
