Kempton is a census-designated place in Albany Township, Berks County, Pennsylvania. It is located at 40.62N, 75.852W, at the junction of Route 737 and Kistler Valley Road. The community is approximately 6 miles north of the borough of Lenhartsville. The entrance to the caverns used by modern visitors is located in a bluff along the Swatara Creek. A second entrance was sealed for security purposes when the caverns were commercialized in the late 1920s.
