Olympic Peninsula Road Trip 2 | Hurricane Ridge and Ruby Beach
Hurricane Ridge is such a beautiful place to stop and see on the Olympic Peninsula as you travel around Highway 101 and then it takes you around to Ruby Beach on the Pacific Ocean.
I've been asked how the Hymer Aktiv drives on mountains and steep grades. She's different then the Winnebago 26 foot I had and doesn't engine break with the tow/haul function like the Winnebago so you do have to downshift and touch the brakes when descending. You can see in the video my up hill climb and descent as well on Hurricane Ridge.

Hi, I'm Amber and in May 2017 I started this nomadic journey after selling my house and all my belongings to purse this crazy dream of living out of my RV full-time and traveling all around North America.
After 1 year of traveling I sold my 26 foot Winnebago Class C RV for a more nimble Class B Hymer Aktiv van. I couldn't have been more excited to continue my second year in a van that allows me travel to more places and experience more in life.

March 19, 2013: A tour of a wildlife refuge on my commute to a work-camping job in Rincon, GA.
Idaho Montana Motorcycle Adventure to Salmon River, Lewis & Clark Trail and Lolo Pass
Wheel Stories presents a classic Idaho Montana motorcycle adventure. The ride begins in New Meadows near McCall then heads north on US 95 and follows the Salmon River through Central Idaho. After climbing Whitebird Hill to the Camas Prairie, the tour travels through grain fields and ranch land then descends into the Clearwater River Canyon. The final leg of the journey features US Route 12, known as the Northwest Passage Scenic Byway. The twisting highway parallels the Lewis & Clark trail across the panhandle of Idaho and crosses the Bitterroot Mountains into Montana at Lolo Pass. The cycle ride concludes in the Big Sky town of Missoula.

Briarfield at Davis Island by Mississippi Land and Lakes
Briarfield at Davis Island consists of 6,000 acres of Mississippi River bottomland and old-growth hardwood timber with multiple lodges on the property. This plantation was once owned by The Confederate States of American President, Jefferson Davis and his brother, Joe. The ruins of the Jefferson Davis mansion, Briarfield, still remain. Twenty seven shares were sold as a private residence club for $500,000 each.
