Dead Sea at Manitou Lake, Saskatchewan 2017
Some people have this Canadian destination on their Bucket list. Here is a small preview of what you can see if you visit Little Manitou Lake in Saskatchewan, Canada. Come on in, the water is GREAT!
NOTE: Floaters are not my photos, but thanks!
Wikipedia:
Little Manitou Lake is a small saltwater lake about 100 kilometres south-east of Saskatoon, Canada. The lake was formed by receding glaciers during the most recent ice age.
Since the 19th century, native people have been bringing sick people to the lake they named after the spirit Manitou. The earliest known practice of using this water to heal was when some Assiniboine people afflicted with smallpox were supposedly cured after drinking and submerging themselves in the water.
Manitou Beach has spawned an arts community, made evident by the founding of an Artists' Collective called Spirit of Manitou Studio Trail. The Spirit of Manitou Studio Trail consists of an open studio/gallery weekend tour including artists/artisans from the localities of Allan, Meacham, Watrous and Manitou Beach.

Little Manitou Lake - Manitou Beach SK
Little Manitou Lake and Manitou Beach are popular tourist destinations in Saskatchewan. The salty spume evident on the shore on windy days attests to salt content of 180 grams per litre of water. It is a terminal lake fed by underground springs, and the waters have beneficial properties for health and buoyancy. The concentration of salts of sodium, magnesium and phosphorous give this benefit.

Hovenweep National Monument - a fantastic day trip from Bluff, utah
HOVENWEEP NATIONAL MONUMENT
Protects six prehistoric, Puebloan-era villages spread over a twenty-mile expanse of mesa tops and canyons along the Utah-Colorado border. Multi-storied towers perched on canyon rims and balanced on boulders lead visitors to marvel at the skill and motivation of their builders. Hovenweep is noted for its solitude and undeveloped, natural character.

Scenic New Mexico Highways
Here is a video of two highways that offer scenic views of the New Mexico high desert mesa terrain. The first highway is called the Wagon Mound Highway, route 120 that runs from Wagon Mound to Roy. Turning south at Roy towards Logan, the second segment begins just east of Mosquero as the road drops off of the vast mesa into the valley below. It hard to think of this area as mountainous but the elevation at Wagon Mound is over 6300 ft, so it is actually higher than Denver by a thousand feet. I used my old Sony HX1 mounted to a tripod on the passenger side to shoot this. There's a little shake sometimes, but I'll be happy to look back at it and remember the trip. Thanks for watching.
