Fraser Island is a heritage-listed island located along the southeastern coast of the state of Queensland, Australia. It is approximately 250 kilometres north of the state capital, Brisbane. Known as Fraser Island, it is a locality within the Fraser Coast local government in the Wide Bay–Burnett region.Together with some satellite islands off the southern west coast and thus in the Great Sandy Strait, Fraser Island forms the County of Fraser, which is subdivided into six parishes.   • 2. Lenthalls Dam Maryborough
    Lake Lenthall is a lake created by the Lenthalls Dam in Duckinwilla, Fraser Coast Region, Queensland, Australia. It was named after the pioneering family in the district. It was constructed in 1984 on the head waters of the Burrum River which also includes the Isis River, Cherwell River & Gregory Rivers in its 935 square kilometre catchment. As a result of a huge catchment it takes a short time in moderate rain events to fill Lake Lenthall to 100% capacity. The lake has a relatively small surface area of 766 ha, an average depth of 4 to 5 m. Its main purpose is for town water supply for Hervey Bay and surrounding townships within the Fraser Coast Regional Council area.

    The Shire of Noosa is a local government area about 130 kilometres north of Brisbane in the Sunshine Coast district of South East Queensland, Australia. The shire covers an area of 868.7 square kilometres . The shire existed as a local government entity from 1910 until 2008, when it was amalgamated with the Shire of Maroochy and City of Caloundra to form the Sunshine Coast Region, and again from 1 January 2014, when it was re-established.

    The Bunya Mountains are a distinctive set of peaks forming an isolated section of the Great Dividing Range in southern Queensland. The mountain range forms the northern edge of the Darling Downs in the locality also called Bunya Mountains near Bell and Dalby. The mountains are south of Kingaroy and just to the south west of Nanango. The range is the remains of a shield volcano which was built from numerous basalt lava flows about 23-24 million years ago.In 2009 as part of the Q150 celebrations, the Bunya Mountains was announced as one of the Q150 Icons of Queensland for its role as a Natural attraction.

    Mapleton Falls is a national park near the town of Mapleton on the Blackall Range in South East Queensland, Australia, 95 km north of Brisbane. The falls are part of Pencil Creek and drop 120 metres.The waterfall became a forest reserve in 1938 and then in 1973 it was declared a national park.The Sunshine Coast Hinterland Great Walk is a long-distance walking track which passes through the park. There are a number of smaller walks as well.

  • 7. Conondale National Park Kenilworth
    The Conondale Range is a mountain range in Queensland, located between Maleny, Kenilworth, Kilcoy and Jimna. The range is the most westerly part of the Sunshine Coast hinterland and part of the Great Dividing Range. The highest point on the range is Mount Langley reaching 868 m above sea level. This is also the highest point in the Brisbane River catchment.Lower foothills of the range around Kilcoy are used for grazing. Most of the steep forested slopes of the range are state forests and Conondale National Park. In the south, parts of Stony Creek are preserved in Bellthorpe National Park. The mountains are the source of the Brisbane River. Creeks on the south of the range drain into the Stanley River and directly into Lake Somerset. To the north creeks flow into the Mary River.
