TRAVEL AUSTRALIA 6 BAY OF FIRES
The Bay of Fireswas a great place with lots of free camping, clear turquoise waters and great fishing, we stayed here at cosy corner north camping ground from the 17th of Dec 2011 until the 23 Jan 2012.
This is one of the best places in Tasmania for camping and you can stay here for up to 4 weeks free of charge. The local town has a winter population of about 3800 which grows to about 17000 in summer so the town flourishes on the tourist dollar. There is talk about charging for camping so it will be interesting to see how this effects the local economy. Some of the footage was taken with a HTC phone and also a GOPRO hero2.There is a stack of birdlife and i have included most of what we saw as still photos at the end, i saw a wombat actually we had a sort of race together side by side down the road whilst on my motorbike.

The Essence Of Tasmania, Australian tourism attraction
An extract from my short story,To The End Of The World
Faintly I thought I could hear the sound of the ocean not to far off in the distance, I trudged on further still deciding whether I was the great trekker or just a wandering boof-head trying to feel younger then I really was. It seemed smoother going now and more patches of sand were to be seen underfoot giving the promise of an end not to far away, the little bird seemed to be moving along side with me flying from branch to branch but now I'm sure it had developed a sympathetic tone and I believed, through my sweaty tired stupor that my little pal was now saying, your there, your there, and as I stooped low under an overhanging branch and found my backpack had caught and I was left hanging there in the middle of nowhere it was only then that I indeed caught my first glimpse of the great southern blue ocean .

TRAVEL AUSTRALIA 4 MARYSVILLE
Driving south from the Gold Coast on the New England Highway in 2010 the land was so green and often the fields were full of yellow or white dandelions, We travel through the Yarra Valley where the devasting fires of Black Saturday reaked havoc and destruction resulting in the loss of many lives both human and wildlife. In this video we also take a look at the Healsville Sanctuary and introduce you to some of Australias wildlife, including the Platypus first bred here by David Fleay.

Music is by Landon Austin. You can buy the track here if you think it's ear candy.
As far as the technical side, here's what I used to film it.
Shot on a Canon 5D Mark III
Canon 16-35mm F/2.8 L
GoPro HERO 3
Also the cool flying effect was made by using a Glidecam.
