Saranac Lake is a village in the state of New York, United States. As of the 2010 census, the population was 5,406. The village is named after Upper, Middle and Lower Saranac lakes, which are nearby. The village of Saranac Lake covers parts of three towns and two counties . The county line is within two blocks of the center of the village. At the 2010 census, 3,897 village residents lived in Harrietstown, 1,367 lived in North Elba, and 142 lived in St. Armand. The oligotrophic, circumneutral body of water called Mirror Lake is in the Adirondack Mountains in northern New York in the United States. The lake is approximately 124 acres , with a watershed area of 741 acres . 27% of the watershed area is developed, 51% is forested, 2% is wetlands, and 20% is surface water. The lake has a maximum depth of 65 feet and an average depth of 14 feet . It is located in the village of Lake Placid, near the center of the town of North Elba in Essex County.

Lake George, nicknamed the Queen of American Lakes, is a long, narrow oligotrophic lake located at the southeast base of the Adirondack Mountains, in the northeastern portion of the state of New York.

This video begins as I take a scenic drive on the Prospect Mountain Veteran's Memorial High Parkway which provides several scenic overlooks of the lake and the town of Lake George. Next I take a drive through the town of Lake George making stops at the Old Courthouse and the only remaining Howard Johnson's Restaurant in the world.

Lake Placid and the Adirondack Region is located in Northern New York State. Lake Placid New York Vlog

One of my favorite vacation destinations. Lake Placid home of the 1932 and 1980 Winter Olympics is a tourist area full of activities. From fishing, hiking, and boating to fine dining. This town has it all. I also recommend Wilmington and Plattsburg, NY. I went fishing by Union Falls. I was able to catch a few trout and a rainbow trout. I had to throw back the rainbow and a few small trout because of their size.
